so you guys know what disburse means right? like, pay out? for some strange reason when the financial aid dept told me they were going to disburse my money today i thought that meant that they would send the money to my bank for processing.
but apparently what they really meant is that my bank would be receiving it it in a week or two.
i didn't know that disburse meant pay them in two weeks.

I believe federal law is that employers have 48 hours to get money owed to you in a layoff/fire situation.

When it comes to financial aid, I would think they would have the 6 to 8 week rule. If they said a week or 2, it will probably be there by the next Monday, but I wouldn't count on that.

When I read "disburse" I instantly thought of your stock ownership divided into the masses of slaves that you once worked for. Now that I know that it is financial aid it means "stick your tounge out and wink at me, it wont be long".

As for me I graduated with my BScN and managed to get a job already! Spent yesterday working with the Critical Care Outreach Team. Hadn't even started working yet and was called to the ER for someone who was dropping BP like crazy. It was a pretty hectic day, to put it simply. BUT THEN they wanted me to do some clerical work on the unit but it was too busy. So I got sent home early. For the four day weekend yeeeeeeeeeah!
