pjalne Jan 21st, 2005 10:02 PM

That's some seriosuly smooth animation. I have no idea how they did it.

Perndog Jan 22nd, 2005 01:27 PM

With one camera and a buttload of 35mm film. :)

ItalianStereotype Jan 22nd, 2005 01:59 PM

is that even stop motion anymore?

pjalne Jan 22nd, 2005 02:07 PM

That's what I've heard. It actually makes Nightmare look primitive.

the_dudefather Jan 22nd, 2005 02:51 PM

2 tim burton movies starring johhny depp in the same year. blimey.

ItalianStereotype Jan 22nd, 2005 02:55 PM

you and schimid are both bitching about that. and trust me, it IS bitching.

think about how many burton movies depp has been in: edward scissorhands, sleepy hollow, and now corpse bride and willy wonka. he's good for these movies.

ItalianStereotype Jan 22nd, 2005 02:58 PM

oh yeah, he was in ed wood too.

Immortal Goat Jan 22nd, 2005 03:57 PM

O_O There is no way that is stop-motion. In any case, I must see it.

pjalne Jan 22nd, 2005 04:21 PM

According to everywhere I've checked it's stop-motion, but it does seem CG-assisted. If it isn't, this could be as big a technical milestone as Nightware was.

Ninjavenom Jan 22nd, 2005 05:03 PM

I hope to see this before Hot Topic shits all over it.

N00bKill3R Jan 22nd, 2005 05:31 PM

Sadly they probably have already started selling hoodies and beanies to the goth fags :/

Rongi Jan 22nd, 2005 05:33 PM

johnny depp is to tim burton as robert deniro is to martin scorsese

i probably wont see this for the same reason i wont see nightmare before christmas :/. it looks nice though

Spectre X Jan 22nd, 2005 05:56 PM

It's stop motion animation.

The Wallace & Gromit movie that's coming up has similarly glorious fluid motion.

Rongi Jan 22nd, 2005 05:59 PM

WHAT WALLACE AND GROMMIT MOVIE >: >: >:

Why was i not informed???? I fucking love Wallace and Grommit

Spectre X Jan 22nd, 2005 07:01 PM

I can't be arsed to find the link right now, byt the cinematheque forum on Bolt City has a thread with some behind the scenes footage.

executioneer Jan 22nd, 2005 10:00 PM

executioneer Jan 22nd, 2005 10:01 PM

Krythor Jan 22nd, 2005 10:38 PM

wtf is there to quote in nightmare before christmas?

executioneer Jan 22nd, 2005 10:44 PM

songs

Shyandquietguy Jan 22nd, 2005 11:13 PM

I think they're just trying to hock it "fairly" by only putting it in as a requirement for the full screen format, unless Itunes has some important role in making the trailer run smoother, (Which I fucking doubt, even though I have never even looked as to what Itunes is other than buying music on-line) Apple can just suck my strap.
