!!!BIG TREAT FOR EVERYBODY. 28 A.L.E. MP3s!!!!!!

About 6 or 7 years ago, myself and some friends formed an absurdist comedic musical / spoken word group. It was called "Abbreviated. Life. Expectancy." and our first album was titled "Songs You've Never Heard Before". All of the copies of the first album sold out completely and most people on I-Mockery never had a chance to even hear it. Well, Chojin was one of the people who bought it back in the day and he was kind enough to convert all of the tracks to mp3 format. So a huge thanks to him for taking the time to do this. Keep in mind, this album was recording on a shitty old 4-track so the sound quality is quite bad, but you can still make it out and I promise you that many of the tracks will give you some good laughs. The times I spent recording the A.L.E. tracks with my friends were some of the best times in my life and I really miss doing this sort of thing. I'm sure when you hear these things, you'll see just how much fun we were having...

Lyrics to this album can be found here towards the bottom of the page.

This is the first time all these songs have ever been up on the web and I really hope you people enjoy these. We're also gonna try to get the 2nd A.L.E. album mp3s up online since that CD sold out too and I'm sure many of you haven't heard it. More on that later...

Lemme know what you think of all the above tracks!

-RoG-

btw: if anybody is interested in mirroring these files so we have them on more than one server, let me know. It's about 54 megs total.

btw #2: For those of you that never got a chance to hear it, here's another mp3 download of a song I did with my brother called "Dead Backstreet Boys" that was recorded years later. We were going to use it on another a.l.e. album if it ever got made, but it never happened.

UPDATE
We now have A.L.E.'s second album up online for download! Check it out:

The Truth About Jimmy Hoffa was fantastic

I downloaded "Utopia".

I liked the Sailour Song. That classical saloon-style clown-synth paino was love, and the accompanied drunken tuneless mumbling almost sounded melodic along side it ;)

Aww man.. so good. My favorites are the Sandpaper Man series. Just curious, where was " I wanna beat Pac-Man" gonna end up?

Was it going to be on the unmade "third album"?

liquidstatik Jan 21st, 2004 02:04 PM

I downloaded a few of 'em. They're pretty good! :D

Not sure how our lyrics made it onto that site, but amusing nonetheless. Some of 'em even have a few comments haha
