NAME THAT TUNE

I know what you're thinking ("MUSIC FORUM >: ") and some are thinking ("Bennett you are teh suck. I don't like you. LOLZ")

But this should be in the CONTEST FORUM, and there isn't one, so I'll post it here with the rest of the garbage.

Let's get started on our first one:

DOO, DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO,
DOO, DOO-DOO-DOOOO
DOO, DOOBEE-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO, DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO,
DOO, DOO-DOO-DOOOO
DOO, DOOBEE-DOO, DOO-DOO

NAME THAT TUNE!

The Entertainer by Scott Joplin?

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:32 PM

I don't know that song, so no.

First hint: it's the theme music from a movie.

pjalne Dec 11th, 2003 04:34 PM

Uuuumm... Are the doo doos sung, or are they supposed to indicate you're humming a melody?

Schimid Dec 11th, 2003 04:34 PM

It's Jurassic Park.

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:37 PM

It's not Jurassic Park but...

Second hint: It has the same director as J.P. and I'm not talking about Tobe Hooper, ;) .

pjalne- like a melody.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade/Raiders of the Lost Ark/ Temple of Doom?

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:44 PM

you're getting there,

Indiana Jones goes:

DOO-DOO-DOO-DOO,
DOO-DOO-DOO,
DOO-DOO-DOO-DOO,
DOO-DOO-DOO-DOO-DOOOOOO!!!

DOO-DOO-DOO-DOO,
DOO-DOO-DOO...
DOO-DOO-DOO, DIDDA-DOO,
DOO-DIDDA-DOO, DOO-DIDDA-DOO.
DOO-DOO-DOO, DIDDA-DOO,
DOO-DIDDA-DOO, DOO-DIDDA-DOO,
DOO-DOO-DOOOOOO!!!

while this clearly goes:

DOO, DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO,
DOO, DOO-DOO-DOOOO
DOO, DOOBEE-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO, DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO,
DOO, DOO-DOO-DOOOO
DOO, DOOBEE-DOO, DOO-DOO

Star wars

pjalne Dec 11th, 2003 04:46 PM

That's George Lucas. Probably same composer, though.

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:47 PM

While that answer doesn't jive with hint number 2, I will use it to give the second to last hint...

Hint number three: the young boy in the movie has a ton of Star Wars toys in his bedroom.

kellychaos Dec 11th, 2003 04:50 PM

I'd guess "E.T." but I don't like you.

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:51 PM

You'd guess wrong.

Bennett Dec 11th, 2003 04:55 PM

that's the only one not scored by John Williams >:

Last hint: after I saw this movie I used to beat up the stupid Ronald MacDonald stuffed toy my Grandma bought me for Christmas (the one with the hard plastic face, hands and feet) right before I went to be at night, just to show him who's the boss.
