I get CDs a lot because I hate downloading songs :(. Not because I have a bad computer, I just feel like I'm ripping off the artist I'm downloading the song from :/

Its a nice little compilation tape with just about everything you'd want to hear from their early years and almost everything you'd want to even bother listening to from their later years |

The Postman Syndrome "Terraforming"
I've been listening to this CD a lot lately. It's just too good to not come back to it on a regular basis. 4 guitarists and 4 vocalists. Quite different. |
Speaking of unusual, I'm one of five guitarists in a newly formed local group that plays exclusively improv work. no drums, no bass guitar, no vocals. Just five guitarists trying to outguess, support or contradict each other. I usually handle the two hands tapping and cyclical drone stuff. Sometimes it's a mess, sometimes it sorta falls into place, but it's always loud, and always interesting (if you're playing, at least).
I've been listening to the new King Crimson record, "The power to believe" all day long for the past 2 weeks. Pretty good, but nothing new. And that says something when it's about Crimson. But my favourite currently is the OSI debut. |
The Essential Tony Hatch
3 cds of easy listening heaven. |
Here is a common rotation at the moment.
Quincy Punx - We're Not Punks But We Play Them on TV Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables Operation Ivy - East Bay Singles Collection Crimpshrine - Duct Tape Soup Casualties - For the Punks |
The Byrds' "Sweetheart of the Rodeo"
|
For some reason, I haven't been able to get myself to take Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss out of my CD player. When it first came out, I only listened to "War Ensemble" and the title track. Thirteen years later, I can't stop listening to it. It's been in my car for like a week straight now.
Oh well. It's kinda nice to get back to that stuff again. Corporate job or not, I'll always be a headbanger at heart. \m/ >: \m/ HAIL SATAN! ________ Lovely Wendie99 |
