HOW TO SOURCE THINGS

Here is how you may source things on this forum:

Quote:

It's actually pretty much impossible to "overdose" on Protein, due to its effect of increased satiety (compared to other nutrients). Also, it contains the same # of calories per gram as Carbohydrates and less than half the calories of fat per gram. (link)
You can also just paste the entire URL instead of cleaning up the link if you're a lazy asshole. The key here is that you are making a point that the article also makes, then linking to the article in case anyone needs to check your sources (to determine whether or not you're full of shit).

The point of linking to an article/video/blog is NOT to have the link make your argument FOR you.

Here is how you may NOT source things on this forum:

Someone would have to read through those articles to figure out what your point is and WHY the things you're claiming are (or are not) true, IN ADDITION TO figuring out whether or not your statement itself is true. The same shit applies to videos.

A source should at its core be a 1-minute trip to check the studies involved to see if the information is credible. 3 minutes at most to check the facts. Again, do not inadequately explain something and then source something so that someone can figure out what you're trying to say.

tl;dr - Please try to express your own feelings and beliefs in your own words, posting the links to articles and blogs only to show where you got your source from. When questioned about your beliefs, express them with your own words.
