I-Mockery's first online mini comic book - PICKLEMAN!
I've been working on this one with Pox on and off for the last month or so... hope you guys enjoy it. Expect more Pickleman comics to come soon!
PICKLEMAN - ISSUE #1 http://www.I-Mockery.com/minimocks/PickleMan Enjoy! -RoG- |
i was expecting something funny
|
I thought it was funny. :( I guess I don't have a good sense of humor like noob3 does. :(
|
haha, nice job. Of course, this is just two steps away from cruising the country for "Pickleman signings" and trying to launch your own TV show.
|
That was wonderful. :D
|
I never knew a pickle could crack someone's skull open. You learn something new every day.
|
Hahaha, the ending sucked a little though. But the little details on the first cover page was great, like get a free tumour from the box of cereals... assuming they're cereal. It would be great if you could get a cameo in next issue. Like have superman fight pickel man. They both can fly and stuff right???
edit: and i just noticed there's clickable item on the comic. |
Hey, I'm the guy who did the art for Picklman. Sorry if I'm not Michael Turner (yet...) but I do my best to render pickleness as best as I can.
I'm using this opportunity to practice my skills and all, hoping to be good enough at some point. BTW, I did pencil, ink and colour took lots of time. I think it was worth it, though. |
I think you did a fine job, Pox. :)
|
that was just so funny :lol
|
Nice job on it. How did you color it? I am making my Postal entry and it is pretty much done, but I don't want to color it because I will screw it up. I want it to look like a comic book type thing, but I don't know what they use to color it.

Hmm, I wanted to do a "step-by-step" tutorial thingy at some time to show you guys how I work, but given the urgency of the situation, here goes:
1. Photoshop 2. Ink it and scan it 3. "select color range>highlights ( inverse) 4. Cut and paste on a new layer 5. Delete the bg ( this will make it cleaner) 6. Now, you can add a white layer under the outline 7. Filter> blur more ( on the outline layer of course) 8. Select layer transparency 9. Then, get a big 100% hardness brush and color those lines in black 10. Deselect and see what you have created, clean black outline 11. Get the eraser and clean up some randoms black dots and some mistakes and whatnot 12. Make a layer between the outline and the bg 13. Color each part of you drawing with one basic color using the Fill Bucket and the Polygonal Lasso 14. Now, create another layer between the outline and the color 15. Still using the polygonnal lasso, color in some shadings and highlights by using the black and white colors and a paintbrush. It works waaaaaaaaaaaay better if you set the oppacity of your brush at 12-20% 16. Also, use one of those really soft brushes. There you go. |
Good job guys - it made me :lol
|
It is good. And kinda funny. I actually found the small details in some of the panels funnier than the overall story.
You should do a whole issue about the missing jellyfish. :) |
yeah, I think the cover of each Issue will be Jam-Packed with those funny references.

And see Pox? I told you putting a missing jellyfish on the carton would be a good idea. You can't go wrong with a jellyfish. :jelly |
Ha. Good stuff. The drawing of the dead guy with blood (or pickle juice?) going down his face and pickleman standing proud was :lol.
I found 3 or 4 hidden things but people can figure em out for themselves >: |
Kitty :o
I loved it :). Kinda reminded me of The Tick in some strange way :/ |
Beaker = Awesome, anyway great comic, i laughed my ass off at the dead guy.
|
I love it! Hey Rog, are you going to be Pickleman's alter ego?
|
I think it's obvious Pickleman's alter ego is actually Gérard Depardieu.
|
I found all of the secrets. They are pretty simple to find. THUNDARR BARBARIAN and MR.YUCK! I almost forgot BOO BERRY!
