True, but not nearly as much as History of Violence.

Intelligent, intense thriller, my ass.

I liked the movie a lot. Over-the-top Nicholson is great stuff. I don't care if it's overrated or not.

I didn't like it cause i couldn't tell the difference between the two guys. They look exactly alike!!!!

The Hong Kong movie Infernal affairs was nothing like this movie and for them to say that they took and wrote a screenplay from it is total bullshit. This move was horrilbe and everyone died in the end.

Yeah, not only was the ending pretty predictable after the first head shot, but the whole thing played out like sketch comedy.

Yeah, i truly believe that Martin Scorsese was given a pity oscar for this one. Pans Labrynth should have taken it.

Letters from Iwo Jima was a really good movie and I won't say should have won, because I'm not on the fag committee. I liked Little Miss Sunshine more, but come on, that was Lampoon's Vacation 2007.

I thought that the ONLY good bit in it was at the end when it's just some kind of headshot fest :D

Anyway, so why do internet people not like this movie anymore? Cause it won an Oscar? Cause it's overrated? I thought it had a good cast, well acted, well written and an interesting movie to watch even if it was a little slow. Not every movie is going to change your life or whatever.

I think it is becase it was hyped up, so didn't meet everyone's expectations :(

I'm gonna rent it this weekend and watch it with my best pal.

I'd heard from every single one of my friends that it was really good and whenever they advertise it they mention all the awards and things, so I figured that it'd have to be at least watchable. It was but I don't think I'll ever watch it again and I'm upset that I wasted a dvd to burn it.

One of the best movies I've seen in a very very very long time.
