Torrent download
I just found a torrent download link for the soundtrack from A Link to the Past. I clicked it and the downloader popped up, but after a whole day of being in class and returning, it hasn't changed past 0%.
There is, however, a folder on my desktop with the name of the file and all the songs inside, but Windows Media or any other player can't play them. Wtf? |
is the filelength on the songs greater than 0 bytes?
|
BitTorrent clients create the files before they start putting data into them. When downloading a file, it can get any part of the file and doesn't necessarily receive it in order from beginning to end. As a result, files will be full of shit and unusable until they are complete.
In your case, though, the torrent hasn't started downloading anything. I'd check to make sure that you're forwarding the right ports to your machine or find a different torrent, because that one is dead. |
Can I get busted for downloading music torrents?
|
If you didn't know what AChimp just told you, how likely do you think it is that anyone with any legal power even knows what torrents ARE?
|
Technically you can get busted if the authorities notice you or you personally told them or the RIAA ^^;
But the chance of that happening is almost 0 |
heh i've been busted by the RIAA for downloading the call of duty demo via bittorrent ages back
|
bollocks, how can you get busted for downloading a demo?
|
and by the riaa, no less? IN-teresting.
