It comes out tomorrow. >:

As for the Unleashed demo thread, it's about 30 topics down at the bottom of the topic list.

But that's for the DEMO. Jeez.

So, who's going to get it? I will, but that's because I am a nerd.

I think I'll pick it up sooner or later. Decent game play and an interesting story sounds good to me.

Ok, so I have about 30mins or so left in the last level and I have to say:

I enjoy the game. It has it´s flaws and bad design-decisions (Star Destroyer) but over all it´s pretty nice. Reminds me of God of War-goes-Star-Wars-with-less-quality.

I just couldnt get over the Falucians (sp?) and how they just couldnt be hurt until you killed there leader. Or the fact that they can block a lightsaber?!?! WTF is that? Since when could anything but lightsaber block a lightsaber? And with the title "Force Unleashed" I was expecting a much more force oriented combat system. What we got were a bunch of non-jedi enemies that were highly resistant to the force. That and his uncanny ability to take forever to get back on his feet after being knocked down were really the only problems with the game and if you can get past them it is some what of a fun game. They say they did this because they didnt want to make the game too easy, but there have been plenty of SW games that you could dismember people with one swing of the good ole saber or just rock em with the force that were not to easy. Jedi Outcast! If you want to play a good SW game get Jedi Outcast. Its a little old but much superior in just about every way.

Nowadays, almost anything can block a lightsaber, thanks to the extended universe. And every enemy is weak against some forcepower. Take the Felucians for example. Maybe you cant saber´em but you can simply throw them and dead they are :)

Against all those Emperor-Guard-like enemies, all you have to do is use grappling. Dark Troopers and Purge Troopers, those are the really annoying enemies in my opinion, especially the Purge Troopers. Sure, they die from Lightning, but they still take 20 secs of permanent shock-treatment till the go down.

Many of the knockdowns can be prevented by quick reactions (press A while going down). One thing that really sucks though is the fact that Mr. Saberclown isn´t very quick when it comes to blocking melee-attacks.

And I really don´t know what people always have with Jedi Outcast. That game still has the most stupid leveldesign of all times...well almost.

After having seen both endings on Sith-Warrior difficulty (normal), I can say, for me, TFU is a very nice game. It tells a pretty interesting story, it has some basic character building and -leveling and which other game changes the main protagonist´s costume EVERY Level? Not bad at all.

The game was too short. The story was shit.

MarioRPG Sep 21st, 2008 03:48 PM

I'm playing the wii version and... not impressed.

My guess, itīs possibly because itīs the Wii-Version.

And why do you think the story was bad, Nick? I thought it fit rather nicely. Always in comparison of the other...shit, Lucas has allowed to be part of the Story.

I'm ashamed to say I beat it in one long sitting... And that's even when I replayed loads of levels.

It's short but I like it. It's just a good braindead romp around and it sort of puts me in mind of old sidescrollers, only in 3D and with lazy puzzles.
Go from A to B and fuck up anything inbetween. Some of the bosses could have been better to fight against, but I have no REAL complaint with it.

Also, that cunt Jar Jar Binks frozen in bicarbonite or whatever made me laugh.

Really? The story was the only reason I took the time to finish the game. :\

That one jedi boss that you fight with the tenticle moster in the backround got flung into the sky by one of it arms while I was fighting her and she never came down. I had to re-start.

Some of these Imperial Guards were trying to show off the other day, tripped and fell down a platform. Also, some Stormtrooper evaded a crate I flung at him and he jumped right into a wall and stopped moving ^^ I like this stuff.
