Michael Bay is done with Transformers
So apparently the new transformers will be his last. I really enjoyed the first film and am looking forward to the second one in IMAX(certain scenes filmed with imax camera!). I wonder if this will kill the movie franchise or if someone else will pick up where he left off.
"I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions." :lol Good luck with that |

Did you watch a different movie? |
is one of the only series i fell needs a lot of explosions and that's pretty much what bay does but i'm pretty sure the franchise won't die

Action movies? I hardly noticed any actual transformer action. There were like 2 scenes close to the end that were worth watching. Oh and the opening scene where blackout takes out the military base was rather cool. I will give you that. There were way to many humans and human drama going on. I wanted some hard core robot on robot action and It wasnt delivered. >:
Well you should be more satisfied this time around if you decide to see the sequel because apparently Michael bay listened to similar complaints and this movie has much more robot vs robot action as well as more screen time in general for the robots.
I'm not excited about the 2nd one. I was with the first, but then I got burned big time.
Thats what I hear and I hope he really has done that. I will go see the new one but I wont have my hopes up. :\ I was more pissed that the humans kicked as much ass as they did at the end.
Hell... that there were that many human characters to begin with. It should have just been Sam.
I don't think any male should complain about megan fox's inclusion but I agree all the secondary military characters were unnecessary to flesh out at all.
I can understand the inclusion of a hot chick for Sam to win over. Megan Fox though...? Sperm dumpster molded from dick cheese. That girl just looks skankarific. :\
Really, there was no reason for any of the human characters to be in the movie.
Or Linkin Park.
I had read that he wanted to do at least 5 movies. However, I would be more than happy to see another director have their hands on the franchise. As far as the humans, I had no problem with them, but they did get way too much screen time in the first movie.
Oh, and this would definitely not kill the franchise. The movie was in works for years before he was even attached to it. The only thing that would kill the movies is money. |

Yeah, I did. At a special premier at Botcon 07.
The movie, regardless of it's quality, made a lot of money. As long as the money is coming in, the movies are gonna be coming out. |
The thing is, that looks far more exciting than an actual Michael Bay movie. He's not even a ridiculous action movie director, he's a snoozefest action movie director. Stallone filled the last Rambo with nothing but violence, and it was fantastic. Michael Bay fills his movies with... I don't know, can you even call it plot?
Armageddon, Bad Boys II, Transformers; all of those movies plod along like nobody's business. It's completely unfathomable to me that anyone can enjoy his movies on any level. |
Whatever, they need to make a Beast Wars movie...
Sure it would be a CGI film, but who cares? As long as they get those guys behind the 2007 TMNT movie to do it, it'll be awesome. And Steve Buscemi as Rattrap |

I agree the last Rambo was amazing! |

Didnt you get banned? Or was that just a wet dream? Ill agree with Ant that The Rock kicked some ass. Other than that Bay sucks ass. |
Heh, I was just interviewed for my local paper for an article on Transformers.

Me Grimlock. Me in Movie?
No, Sadly.
