Nothing trumps my dopey story from some years ago, (thx for da colorin' castle, rog), but I shall be participating again. I don't know if I can find another grumpy pumpkin candle, though.

Is there a way to preserve all the pictures this year? I re-read the past years events and most of the pictures are gone.

I missed out last year as I didn't check when the deadline to sign up was until it was too late. So I made a point to be way ahead of the game this year.

Furthermore, I'm pretty pleased that microshock is barred from this year's secret santa event, he seemed to suck the joy out of the event last year (I didn't even participate and I felt the pain)

This year I will not be able to resist Secret Santas. Count me in.

There is the intrinsic value of an item that is made up of the cost of it's creation, and then there is the market value of an item which means it is worth whatever anyone can be tricked into paying for it.

I would put the value of a drawing of a sad, crying clown in an iron lung as quite high in monetary terms.



PS: MLE you should start the art competitions again. If not regularly, then at least sometimes. If you felt like it.

Well, I'm a student who doesn't get any more loans until January, so that's why I'm broke. I could probably still do it...but that'd be at least the cost of a case of beer.

I have some small junkie items (toys and stuff) saved up that will hopefully be worthy of helping the story that my recipient may tell. I'm excited to go hunting for items as well.

We normally do sign-ups for Secret Santa in the "Forum Events" area with an official sign-up thread each year. I thought this was just a post to gauge people's interest, right?

I was thinking the same thing, but i wasn't sure.

Just remember guys, the exchange rate for Australian money to US is awful, so while I will be splashing out and spending a fortune for your gift in MY country, in YOUR country it will look like I just hobbled together some soggy chips and a piece of string.
