Fuck, first time I saw it the sonbitch put me to sleep

Anyway, if you see any movie it should totally be the original b&w night of the living dead. It's pretty creepy, even now that I've seen it 5+ times. :chatter

As for my favorite movies, I dunno. You have probably seen all the movies I consider to be great. LOTR, Tarantino flicks, Sin City, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, so on and so forth. If there is anything on that list that you haven't seen, shame on you. Go out and watch them right now, or be damned to an eternity of an unfullfilled movie repitoir.

Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and the majority of Disney movies that aren't live action- I like musicals :(

Chinatown- I honestly only rented the movie so I could impress my friends with my sophisticated taste in films and didn't actually expect to enjoy it. Imagine my big suprise when the ending of the movie made me kinda want to die, in a good way.

Equilibrium- Actually pretty terrible but the gun fu was cool.

Chicago- I like musicals and this is the best one I've ever seen.

Legend of the Drunken Master- This movie is insane, easily Jackie Chan's best.

City Hunter- Easily Jackie Chans second best, Street Fighter :lol

....and here's a few more of my favorite movies that I decided I didn't want to write a gay little description of.
American Beauty
The Shadow
The Hulk
Mortal Kombat
Predator 1 and 2
Freddy vs Jason
Friday the 13th
Night of the Living dead (Tom Savini's version)
Rocky
Robocop

Lye Oct 23rd, 2005 12:21 PM

Ninjavenom Oct 23rd, 2005 07:57 PM

Rez Oct 23rd, 2005 08:36 PM

Baghdad Cafe
Bad santa
Very Bad Things
Oldboy
Land of the Dead

i just saw good night and good luck and it was pretty good.

Wigwam Oct 24th, 2005 11:14 AM

HickMan Oct 25th, 2005 03:20 PM

Yellow Submarine

Ocean's Eleven

The Orignal Frankenstien

Shawshank Redemption

ALL Chuck Norris Films. (I'm not saying this to be funny. I'm serious. I think Chuck and Aaron Norris know what they're doing when they make a film)

Fight Club, of course

James and the Giant Peach <8

Boys n' Tha Hood

Halloween

I can't think of any more right now ;(

Rez Oct 26th, 2005 12:52 AM

My favourite Hitchcock is Vertigo.

Also, I've got a stack of Alfred Hitchcock movies from the 1930's & they are superhard to watch & understand what is going on. Mainly because I'm stupid & they don't explain everything each step of the way.

kahljorn Oct 26th, 2005 12:55 PM

The brainiac:

"Hey, there's a hole in the back of his neck... clearly whoever did this is a master of anatomy."

I always loved that... old movies crack me up.

Personally, I have always preferred Rear Window to many other Hitchcock films. The Birds is another fantastic film, but everyone talks about that one. But Rear Window was so suspenseful simply because until the very end, you don't really know whether or not the neighbor killed his wife. You just have a good idea.

Adding to my list:

Twelve Angry Men\
..............................>Originals, not the crappy remakes.
Inherit the Wind.../

Fight Club (can't believe I forgot that one)

Star Wars (Original trilogy moreso than the new ones)

Nightmare Before Christmas (OMG, I'm so goth)

A Beautiful Mind

Braveheart

More to come later as I remember them.
