What a customer done asked me.

I work at Blockbuster and I get asked a LOT of stupid questions every day. The most recent was from this old lady that asked if we had a movie called "Thumbs Up." I told her that I had never heared of it and sked if that was indeed the correct title. She said, "Yes. I saw the box the other day and it said Two Thumbs Up."

True story.

Also when Passion of the Christ came out I was asked if we "had Jesus" and one lady inquired about "the movie with Jesus in it".

Guitar Woman Oct 24th, 2005 03:46 PM

I don't think there's an "Oregan" anywhere else in the world either.

King Hadas Oct 24th, 2005 04:11 PM

i work at hollywood video, i hate it when those fuckers bring up display boxes. You guys are so lucky you don't have to deal w/ late fees anymore. :(

kahljorn Oct 24th, 2005 06:51 PM

actually there are still late fees.. if you don't return a movie within two weeks or something you basically buy the movie.

Chojin Oct 24th, 2005 06:58 PM

Redbox is an example of how rentals should be done - $1 per night until 24 nights, after which you just keep it. And there are no surly clerks like DRUMMING4BUDDHA hating you am i right

ArrowX Oct 24th, 2005 07:12 PM

Whats the initial Price of new rentals?

Chojin Oct 24th, 2005 07:32 PM

if you're talking about redbox, $1.

Immortal Goat Oct 24th, 2005 07:48 PM

Why don't we have a place like that where I live? All we have is Hollywood Video and Family Video.

Chojin Oct 24th, 2005 08:13 PM

Redbox is a little electronic kiosk available at most McDonalds restaurants.

Immortal Goat Oct 24th, 2005 08:36 PM

Then our McDonalds suck :(

Sethomas Oct 24th, 2005 08:45 PM

I think McDonalds sucks regardless.

Lye Oct 24th, 2005 08:56 PM

yeah, i like netflix...

ArrowX Oct 25th, 2005 12:39 AM

this Redbox sound fucking amazing. My local store's Late fees work like re-renting the film, have something that costs $2.00 for 5 days, its $4 for 10 days and so on.

DamnthatDavid Oct 25th, 2005 01:33 AM

Comrade Rocket Oct 25th, 2005 01:40 AM

Dr. Gonzo

i just finished that book

you better be on something >:

pjalne Oct 25th, 2005 06:32 AM

Here in wacky Norway, we have to pay $7.50 to rent a single movie until 11 PM the next day. If the movie isn't in by then, that's another 7.50.

kahljorn Oct 25th, 2005 11:34 AM

"Dr. Gonzo

i just finished that book "

Which book is that? Unbeknownst it to common man there are more than one or two Hunter S Thompson books, although who knows how many with dr. gonzo.
