HAUNTINGS IN NEW ENGLAND STATES

There are five-hundred bajillion movies out there about these things and I see equally as many coming out every year. Why are TRUE HAUNTING STORIES so compelling? I never got it. I mean, The Amityville Horror was alright, but every one I see now is just more and more of the same.

They need to branch out to midwest haunting stories instead.

He should star in a movie where he is a ghost and call it "Died In East L.A." :(

Having lived in Maine my entire life, it does seem like New England has an underlying tendancy for creepiness. It's spawned authors like Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, and Edgar Allen Poe. Not to mention the Salem Witch Trials way back when.

I'd appreciate some that take place in the south. With all the ghosts stories I grew up hearing, you'd figure a few decent movie would come out them.

I hear a lot that come out of Lousiana too.

Oh yeah, there's a million stemming from voodoo and hoodoo stories in the more swampy and coastal areas.
