shin gojira-a welcome return to form

All Hail Duke Nov 13th, 2018 01:16 AM

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind-the ending felt a little...off(?), but it was still a good movie

All Hail Duke Nov 16th, 2018 02:18 PM

get shorty (the movie, i haven't seen the show)-i thought it was going to be a little more violent, but it was pretty good

All Hail Duke Nov 22nd, 2018 11:56 PM

blow out-a conspiracy movie w/ john travolta...it turned out to be pretty decent, and it didn't have a happy ending (always a plus)

All Hail Duke Nov 28th, 2018 07:22 PM

silent night-(the loose remake of silent night, deadly night) 0/10
it's that fucking bad

All Hail Duke Nov 29th, 2018 04:30 PM

halloween 2(018)-worse than the original and season of the witch, better than all the other movies in the franchise
though that's not saying much at all

All Hail Duke Dec 16th, 2018 12:42 AM

big hero 6-good but not great, at least it wasn't loaded with songs every 10 minutes
the ending was a little sappy

All Hail Duke Dec 28th, 2018 02:33 PM

magnum force-it was alright

All Hail Duke Jan 11th, 2019 02:22 PM

drive-good, but not as good as i've heard people say

bloodsport-silly, but entertaining
frank dux is also full of shit

All Hail Duke Jan 16th, 2019 02:05 PM

identity-didn't see the plot twist coming

All Hail Duke Feb 4th, 2019 12:40 AM

the hunt for red october-i loved it

All Hail Duke Feb 17th, 2019 01:43 PM

molly's game-figured it would be boring, boy was i wrong

alligator-i saw this (and the sequel) once when i was a kid, it's hokey as hell but not bad overall

Tadao Feb 18th, 2019 09:05 PM

God I haven't seen Alligator in what seems like 30 years? Is it that old? Yep 1980.

All Hail Duke Feb 21st, 2019 01:23 PM

sicario-really, really good, and that fuckin' bit w/ del toro and the drug lord...

i've heard mixed reviews about the sequel, but i'll see it anyway

All Hail Duke Mar 29th, 2019 11:34 AM

curse 2:the bite-has nothing at all to do with lovecraft (as far as i know) or the first movie in any way
with that said it was....okay
the sfx by screaming mad george were the highlight

All Hail Duke Apr 1st, 2019 01:27 PM

the strangers- pretty good, except for that jump scare ending

All Hail Duke Apr 15th, 2019 01:35 PM

everything must go-ferrell should do more films like this and less screwball comedies

All Hail Duke Apr 26th, 2019 01:17 AM

reanimator- i've seen this once or twice before, but it's been years
while it's still entertaining in an army of darkness screwball way, i'd be open to a re-adaptation that follows the story a lot closer and is more horror and less comedy

All Hail Duke Apr 28th, 2019 05:49 PM

sid and nancy- if she was as annoying in real life as she was in this movie, it's no wonder he killed her

All Hail Duke May 18th, 2019 12:53 AM

mad dog and glory-it was alright, i guess
i had a little bit of a hard time buying murray as a hood

All Hail Duke May 30th, 2019 02:09 AM

watership down-hrm, not really sure what to say about this one

All Hail Duke May 31st, 2019 10:52 AM

godzilla: king of the monsters
oh boy...

SPOILERS AHEAD

Spoilers!

the score and the scenes with the monsters are pretty much all this movie has going for it basically
the movie is painfully average

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 1st, 2019 12:22 AM

That sucks. I really really liked the last one they made.

Based on the sole fact that a scientist was telling the military their thoughts and the military abided by them.

All Hail Duke Jun 1st, 2019 01:35 AM

the 2014 movie? i like it, but i do have problems with it (mostly uninteresting human characters and hard to see night fights)

i was a big godzilla fan as a kid, but after rewatching all the 50's-70s movies....that's a little hard for me to say

i still have the 80's-millenium era to try to sit through, but that's going to be a chore

i love the original and shin godzilla to pieces though, so maybe it's just the ultra serious entries that i like

All Hail Duke Jun 6th, 2019 12:38 AM

jurassic world 2- a movie about dinosaurs shouldn't be boring, but here we are

a re-boot/re-adaptation of the first novel (i haven't read the 2nd book) that's closer to the story and more horror centric as a hbo mini-series would be nice
