I'm with you on the costume Max, it's my favourite version of her outfit. Ah, simpler times!
This was a great era for SG - there was the classic "Revolt of the Super-Chicks" issue where she and Wondy quit superheroism to become models in Paris. Also, the whole "jeez-I-can-never-find-a-boyfriend" collection of story arcs helped her set feminism back decades. |
Ah, Prez Rickard. I'd call him DC's most worthless character if it weren't for the SWEET story Neil Gaiman gave him in World's End. Gaiman can turn anything into pure awesome.
So now the title of most worthless character goes to Brother Power the Geek. Hmmm, now that I think about it, Gaiman also made him acceptable in Swamp Thing. Wow. Um...G'nort? |
Ahh, Supergirl, it was the first superhero book I actually tried to follow when I was really young. The only story I remember from back in the day was one about giant cat monsters. But for the life of me, I can't remember the title of the story.

How could a woman who is in every way the superior of most men on earth do so much to harm women's lib?

DC hates women. It's a fact.

I have a few old Supergirl comic books. She was the first super-hero I liked. I read the new series, and I dislike the costume. I also dislike how Powergirl's origin changes every few years.
