"White Noise"

Anybody heard anything about this movie? I've always liked Michael Keaton ("Gung Ho" :lol) and this flick looked pretty good from the previews.

It looks like another one of those LOUD NOISE SUDDEN SCREAMING FACE MAKE YOUR HEART RACE kinda movies. The recording ghost voices is a good basis but it'll probably be driven into the ground by the end.

The way they're hyping up the ghost voices to be "real" is like what they were doing when the Blair Witch Project came out.

This movie looks about as entertaining as that inane piece of drivel, but just has a bigger budget and Hollywood actors.

I was actually kind of interested in this. The movie is based on a real phenomenon, and Michael Keaton is the shit. Can you say Beetlejuice?

the_dudefather Jan 7th, 2005 02:32 PM

is it one of those shrieky spooky 'psychological' horror movies like the sixth sense or the ring or whatever, in which they spend about 45 minutes building up tension and shock you by having a spoooky figure walk past (possibly with a loud shill music cue to enhance the SHOCK)

executioneer Jan 7th, 2005 09:26 PM

this movie sounds racist

Rongi Jan 7th, 2005 09:34 PM

if they called it black noise it would sound like a rap movie about a black orphan's rise and fall in the game of rap music. staring ice cube as "Roshan Della Knight"

Just watch Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi Channel, if you want to see something scary about ghostly voices.

Keaton needs to do a sequel to Johnny Dangerously or Multiplicity, because those are the only good movies he's done.

"She touched my peppy, Steve."

It seems like one of those movies where they tell you something is real and actually happens in real life, but then weave it into an incredibly unplausable story, that makes you think that it is in no way possible.

READ BELOW IF YOU WANT TO SAVE 8 DOLLARS

Michael Keaton is killed by black ghost in the end that force him to break dance and fall off the ledge. The worse.

Glad to see Keaton is getting some work again. I'm still kinda pissed he didn't get the job as Wonka. >:

Jixby Phillips Jan 9th, 2005 10:41 PM

I'm not making up my mind untill sports weighs in on this

pjalne Jan 10th, 2005 07:13 AM

It's not a sequel nobody wants to see, based on a video game or a Treat Williams/Tom Berenger franchise. I don't think this movie even registers on his radar.
