And you thought Leonardo Dicaprio was bad...

I recently learned of a goof of a movie titled "Titanic: The Animated Movie" or "Titanic: The Legend Continues". I am not making this movie up. It's animated (duh) and made by Italian director Camillo Teti who (a) supposedly used to do porn movies and (b) told the animators to blatently copy as many cartoon characters as possible when drawing the film. As a result, it feels like Disney decided to do a kid-friendly version of The Titanic while they were on acid.

The whole thing's on YouTube:

Rog should review it.

Yeah, the rapping dog alone would probably give good mileage.

Fathom Zero Jun 7th, 2009 10:33 PM

That's terrifying.

Krythor Jun 8th, 2009 07:07 AM

I would consider watching it if not for that dumb commentary all the way through.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 8th, 2009 11:02 AM

I like Leonardo DiCaprio >:

You mean those notes that come up? Yeah, I couldn't find a version on YouTube that was without any sort of commentary.

Oh yes, and apparently the version I found was considered the "better" version. The other version included a scene at the beginning of the Titanic sinking (so basically the movie was a large flashback, with several smaller flashbacks taking place) and a less comprehensible version of the dog's rap.

Nvm, found a version without the commentary. It's the American version though, so it's worse (yes, that's apparently possible)

You mean Nostolgia Critic? That's how I learned about it (as did most people). My brother sees all the reviews that guy does. One night, my dad's flipping through the channels and the Titanic movie's on and my brother says "Did you know that some Italian guy made an animated version of "The Titanic"?" and I thought, well that's not so odd.

Then he said, "It had a rapping dog in it", and I thought "Say wah...?"

Dimnos Jun 10th, 2009 10:18 PM

I think Dicaprio gets a bad rap. Yeah titanic was a gag fest but guy has had some good movies.

Krythor Jun 11th, 2009 07:08 AM

ZeldaQueen, I think you need to just get over this rapping dog.

Angryhydralisk Jun 11th, 2009 10:16 AM

Why is everyone so clumsy I wonder?

Anyways, I seen an old Titanic film from the 50s or 60s. It wa sin black-and-white, the movie ending with a model titanic hitting what appears to be a styrofoam iceberg with the boat exploding in the end while a bunch of children are playing a sad song.

I don't know what's better that or the two guys hitting their legs on the rudder in the DiCaprio film.

I've only seen that one. I'm seriously going to look up some other ones when I'm able though. That review I'll have to keep a watch for.
