"Cross eye 3D" photography

First off, I apologize for making these images a few pixels over the limit. If I made them any smaller, there would be a significant loss of ability to see detail. Second, sorry if this has been done before or if there's an official thread for it.

Instructions:

Turn off any room lights that may cause a glare on your monitor

Sit at about arms length away from your monitor.

Center your nose on the seam between the two images

Slowly cross your eyes until the images overlap and "lock together"

If all goes well, you should see a 3D image in the middle, and 2 faint 2D images on either side.

(Note: If you have trouble, try moving back and forth, or adjusting how much your cross your eyes. You'll get better with practice)

(Dot added to make it easier to line up)

Hope you all enjoy. If I get a good response, I could always do some more, or give you instructions on how to make them yourself

That's really cool, if a little hard to pull off with my eyes.

Stereoscopics are hard to see when you want to.

I reccommend using the glass part from Tool's " 1,000 Days" CD Case

not easy to do when drunk...

Is anything easy to do when drunk?

Since I'm getting a moderately good response, I thought I'd add some more

um there isn't a pixel limit in this forum, and the reg. forums generally are just "keep it 600x800 or below unless you warn us or it's the post your pic here thread"

you must be thinking of avatar or sig size restrictions

From the rules section. Keep images within 500 pixels wide.
The boards are optimized for 800x600 resolution, so please keep your images within 500px to prevent side-scrolling.

But I'll take your word for it :)

As for the issue with the angles being too extreme, they work fine for me. Like I said, it takes practice to get down the technique

Most cross eye things I can do easily because the meeting point is always in an unfocussed rest area for my eyes, these are all outside of that area and hurt my eyes.

I think your eyes are too far apart. Or maybe you wear glasses or something.

The test would be if Seven Force's wandering eye can do it.
