Am I the only person who is sick of Deadpool? I just wish more people would pick him in MvC3 so I could kick his ass more often.
|
Yes, you are the only person.
Deadpool is like Wolverine.... no matter how much over-exposure and garbage backstory he gets, he's still frikkin wolverine and therefore awesome. ;-) |
I have never been impressed with Deadpool--save for when I heard him described as the weaponized cure for cancer, but it was Norman Osborn who did that--and likely never will be. Combining him with Venom, who's gotten horribly oversaturated recently, doesn't sound like it'd be very fun.
The only Deadpool comic I'm gonna pick up is his Fear Itself spinoff, and that's only because Chris Hastings is writing it. |
Eh. To each their own, I guess. Venom's been a favorite since I was a kid, but really, Venom doesn't have much to do with the story. It's still mostly a Deadpool story, just with Venom being used as a catalyst for the events of the plot.
As for Deadpool being overused, he's a fun character, well written, and entertaining. Complaining about Deadpool getting too much attention is like saying Green Lantern or Thor is getting too much attention. They may not exactly be top-tier A listers, like Batman or Iron Man, but they're only half a step down in terms of popularity. |
I've never understood all the fuss about Deadpool either. He's a cheap mixture of Wolverine, Spider-Man and the Punisher I don't understand why people buy into it. He's just like Gambit, it's just Marvel Comics mocking you and I REALLY wish I could blame it on Quesada.

I always thought deadpool was funny in a sort of teen-comedy way

I'm interested in this. May need to flag it down now.
