NBA'09-'10 season

And the season starts with a bang before it even starts with Delonte West pulling a Plaxico

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4485441

But even more disturbing about all this, West has been a no-show to the first 2 practices

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/b...osition=recent

Cleveland really is cursed

Colonel Flagg Sep 30th, 2009 09:45 AM

A far cry from the player or the person he appeared to be with St. Joseph's. Hard to believe he came from the same program as Jameer Nelson.

Here's hoping the 76ers avoid having the worst record in the NBA this season. :(

Geggy Oct 1st, 2009 05:45 PM

I predict that with the combination of perkins, sheed and garnett, the Celtics will lead the league with technical fouls this seaon.

Geggy Oct 28th, 2009 10:18 PM

The celtics shit all over the charlotte bobcats and held them to just 59 points tonight. I like what I'm seeing so far. :)

WhiteRat Oct 29th, 2009 01:08 PM

The new look T-Wolves (7 new players) somehow came back from being down 18 points to the Nets and won 95-93 off a buzzer beater.

1-0 baby! Rambis is taking us to the top!

There's a combination of words I never expected to see put together :lol

How's al jefferson in his return after that nasty shoulder injury last season?

edit: oops, he blew out his knee, not the shoulder

Wow, Geggy, you cheer for the NBA? Really? After the Donaghy book?

Colonel Flagg Oct 31st, 2009 09:25 PM

The Sixers are at .500 for what may be the last time this season. :(

referee scandal or not, i enjoy witnessing greatness in the nba

El Blanco Nov 3rd, 2009 11:43 AM

Even if the greatness is manufactured by the officiating?

Geggy Nov 4th, 2009 12:51 AM

blind refs have been making bad calls at least 10 times a day that decides the outcome of the games for years so what is the difference? michael jordan and the bulls may have had some help from the refs because jordan was good for the nba and the business but it still doesnt take away the fact he could bust a move and bunch of ankles.

Pentegarn Nov 9th, 2009 08:22 AM

Bad refs litter all of sports unfortunately. This years baseball postseason, the Big Ten football refs, the NBA, the NFL. It happens.

Colonel Flagg Nov 10th, 2009 02:18 PM

Not relevant to the season, maybe, but still noteworthy:

The Sixers will do anything to boost one of the league's (deservedly, mind you) worst average attendance figures.

The sideshow could start as early as next week. :\

I feel sorry for what has become of AI. I remember the Olympics where we had to fight for the bronze medal because the team just didn't seem to care (and they were all afraid of terrorism). But if it weren't for AI we wouldn't have even gotten that. He stepped up and became a leader for that broken team where only AI and Lebron cared for winning.

While I don't like some of what he did, I have a hard time forgetting how hard he worked for team USA

Geggy Dec 3rd, 2009 04:37 AM

AI is the bret favre of basketball. I think he joined the sixers because he likes the old-school logo.

Celtics needs a back up point guard because eddie "no-dribble" house is completely unreliable as a ball handler but i'm sure as hell happy they didnt pick up AI. He is marbury in sheep's clothing.

Pentegarn Dec 3rd, 2009 10:21 AM

AI will be a cancer anywhere he can't be a starter at. He has made it clear he has no interest in being a 'coming off the bench' player

Geggy Dec 4th, 2009 11:34 PM

I think he would be willing to settle as a back up on a contending team like the lakers, cavs, celtics, etc. I could be wrong. Best of luck to him in his old stomping ground.

New jersey finally get their first victory tonight. :rave

Colonel Flagg Dec 7th, 2009 05:09 PM

Way to go Nets! Time for a 16 game win streak! :p

AI starts tonight - Wachovia Center is sold out ... for a Sixers game!. :eek

Geggy Dec 22nd, 2009 07:03 PM

Last night, the bulls led the kings 79-44 with 8:50 left in third quarter, guess who won? I could be wrong, but this might be the biggest collapse in NBA history.

Vinny del negro, you are fired.

Colonel Flagg Dec 31st, 2009 03:06 PM

Sixers won two in a row. Color me shocked. :shocked

Pentegarn Jan 2nd, 2010 01:12 AM

Say it ain't so Gilbert

I believed in you man. You brought the NBA "Hibachi" when you would shoot.

Now when you shoot, you're going to yell "taurus"

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 2nd, 2010 04:38 PM

The Wizards almost cast a spell of bullets.
