GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE FAGGOTS.

A local grocery store has a "choose your own six-pack" feature in their beer department. A bunch of different bottles and empty six-packs. I have taken the opportunity to use this as a way to experiment--as I'm not generally a big fan of beer, I'm trying to find things to change my mind. All your standard college-beloved cheap beers are gross (which is good, because having to pay 10 bucks for a six-pack of Blue Moon is a deterrent from drinking often!).

Tonight I got:
2 Full Moons (Blue Moon's seasonal. I got these because I know I like them.)
Wild Blue (Blueberry beer, what the fuck. Couldn't resist.)
Woodchuck Draft Cider (Had it before and liked it, but it's been a while. Time for another go.)
Magic Hat #9 (A favorite of a buddy of mine. Not sure if I've tried it before, so now I will be!)
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale (Also can't resist a winter blend because I'm a snowy fucking faggot.)

So far I've had the Wild Blue. Too fruity--it tastes more like one of those flavored sparkling water drinks than it does a beer. The worst part about that is that of the five varieties I got, this has the highest alcohol content.

Wild Blue verdict: would not get again.


NEXT UP ON AAARG: Marshall bitches about his job, his boss, and the fact that he realized tonight that when he goes to Morgantown in a week his girlfriend will be MIA.

Yes he had a variety pack of Magic Hat one time and I think I tried a few of them but don't remember anything about each. That was the night everybody got excited because my girlfriend pulled out the hookah and some strawberry flavored tobacco but as it turns out the shit was old and gross.

The beer guy (also the biggest fan of shisha I've ever met) made the comment, "fuck, this tastes like my grandmother's attic!"

Magic Hat is good if you don't get the hoppy stuff. Outside of that, it gives you an aftertaste.

And kudos to Aaarg for taking a hint.

I just like to type, specifically about myself and my life. My life consists mainly of work, girlfriend, and stupid useless boring anecdotes from my past, revolving around work (either grocery store or cave) and female companions.

All right, well I have since finished the Wild Blue and am working on the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.

Not a fan. Strong aftertaste. Disappointed. Tempted to just dump it out and open a Full Moon and go to sleep.

again, agreed. Sierra Nevada has never been good to me, but I really liked Wild Blue. They did a pumpkin ale that I loved

Apparently Sam Adams Octoberfest is delicious. Somebody told me this as they were buying the last case we had, having been replaced with their Winter Lager now. I bought the Winter Lager having heard good reviews, but I don't like it!

I'm too picky about beer. So much I don't like. I should just get a bottle of Jack or Tanqueray and have my night caps from that like I did back when people accused me of having a drinking problem.

One week of drinking yourself to sleep =/= alcoholic.

Or you should just take that Octoberfest shit and shove it up your ass.

Blue Moon had a pumpkin flavored thing but I never tried it. They also had their summer seasonal which I don't remember if I tried it or not but I recall my girlfriend drinking a lot of it and playing a game of Cranium in which I was the only sober person there. And then since I was sober I was delegated as the person to drive everyone to the Taco Bell. I'm essentially blind at night, driving through a city I'd never driven in, with four drunks in the car.

PBR is like a hundred times better than sam adams, its why they have been makin the same beer since before my grandfather took his heart pills while slugging one down, instead of pushing some crappy new version for every season.
