applying a radio effect to recordings

I want to modify some voice files to sound like they're being transmitted over a radio, like jet pilots communicating with each other. I've got Sound Forge, anyone got suggestions on how to best simulate this effect? Different program or plugin perhaps?

The closest thing I can find as a default in 6.0a is Process -> EQ - > Parametric phone demo. There are plugs that can do a much better job than that though. If I find one I'll let you know.
