What do you do when you're sick of your music collection?
 

I'm skipping everything that isn't The Cramps or Bob Dylan.

Oh, or Old Crow Medicine Show.

Everything else BORES ME TONIGHT.

I post that I'm listening to They Might Be Giants in the music forum when I'm doing nothing of the sort.

I usually hit up internet radio on Winamp when i'm looking for new jamz.

You expand your music collection. Might I suggest the Mamas and the Papas

I only ever listen to Led Zeppelin and Heart anymore, or various Silent Hill OSTs if I'm bored of that.

I refuse to try new things because I am a difficult person.

Try Tom Waits. Or the local music shop for some cheapies.

Tom Waits is my all-time favorite musician. I legally own all but a few albums. I think I'm down to two that I'm missing: Blood Money and Foreign Affairs.

There doesn't seem to be a local music shop here anymore. Lame.

I'm getting back into Type O Negative. That seems to be fitting my mood. It's like I'm in fucking high school again.

Sometimes you just need some highschool caliber heavy metal. I know what you mean.

I look at all the money I spent on music and think where it might have gone. And then I go listen to the new Alice Cooper for the 15th time and finally get around to "grow" on some wank band like Acid Mothers Temple or Earth that just so happen to be AMAZING live.

I either go to YouTube or Limewire for new music.

My brother has drastically different taste in music that I do. Sometimes we just swap music. It doesn't work all the time but sometimes I find something I like enough to listen to.

I've loads of stuff, but get this problem too,.
So I regress and play stuff I liked when I was 10. It amazes me that for all the things I've forgotten in my adult life, I still remember EVERY Toyah lyric.

On their forums there are shitloads of bands that I haven't heard of, then I listen to it and realize it's great. IE: Nightwish, Necrophagist, numerous others.

You should just give your music to me. I'll take them off your hands.
