the skating part was massively fun. The only gripe about the surfing was those damned seagulls. Seriously, without them, it would have been great, but ugh, I'm sure I threw my controller at least a few dozen times because of them.
and yes, Kool Kat was AWESOME. |
I actually played this game enough to discover both modes went on forever.

Pretty fun game with a great title.

I used to own this game as a kid. I hated the Skateboarding, but loved the surfing. I was pretty much the champ of the waves.
Also, Thrilla Gorilla is a surfing monkey, so he beats Kool Kat just for the ability to whip his shit at the opposition. |

I remember wanting this game so bad when it came out. I think I played a demo in a store at one point and really, really wanted it. Never did get it, but I found it to rent a few years later, gave it a try, and decided I was then really, really glad I never owned it because I, unfortunately, fall into the "hate it" end of the relationship with this game. Mostly because of the surfing, but it didn't really hold my interest all that much as a kid. Not longer than the rental, anyway. |
Hey wait, didn't the same company that made this also make that awful Karate Kid game?

Kool Cat is my hero.

Games like this one made me glad that NES controllers were invincible.
