I need help with an old game.
Ok, so I recently had an urge to play Die By The Sword via internet with a buddy of mine. The problem is, that I dont know how to host a game and neither does my friend. There is no "host game" option anywhere. There is a "join game" option, but thats it.
I know its an old game, but if anyone knows how to make the multiplayer work, please tell me. Yeah, and the reason why I want to play the game is that my radeon is fried and it takes a couple of weeks before I can afford a new one. Im playing with some really old ATI card and a Voodoo 1 right now, so the choices are quite limited. |
man that's pre-quake 2 right? If it's modem only, you need an uh, modem, and you need to actually dial up your friend's house on his own modem. If it supports tcp-ip, then all you need is either one's local ip, and you should be able to join.

There is TCP/IP available, but im not able to join a game and vice versa. Maybe it has something to do with my firewall or something. :(

You might have to create the server through the setup program or something like that. I remember that's what you had to do with Duke3D.
Since this is a fairly old game, I'm sure it has something similar. |
Thanks for the help, but I solved the problem. Its a fun game altough it looks like crap.
