I think this is what the critics who said "The Dark Knight" was too dark and serious was hoping to see.

UHF reference, nice.

Part of why I love Protocomics is the brilliant dialogue. I need to start saying "Bless My Biscuits!" whenever I'm in shock. I'm going to try and find the original issue. I just HAVE to see what the context is for a dummy-firing cannon.

damn robin is so dumb and queer lol

Julio Jul 23rd, 2008 07:34 PM

The Goddamned Batman!

Colonel Flagg Jul 23rd, 2008 08:38 PM

You do "Batman" better than DC. Cowabunga!

Poxpower Jul 23rd, 2008 08:52 PM

Heath Ledger has never looked better than in this adaptation of the movie.

Rebel Without a Sauce Jul 23rd, 2008 09:43 PM

I hope Batman's going to be alright. :(

"Suddenly Susan"

you do make me laugh proto

Terrible-D Jul 24th, 2008 01:14 AM

"Shortly, Robin totally lets Batman down!"

Brilliant stuff.

Dungeonbrownies Jul 24th, 2008 02:59 AM

by jove, its true. I can see why frank millers batman would force robin to eat raw meat and sugar in tights. anything to make him less of a dumbass.

greenimp Jul 24th, 2008 03:04 AM

"Ass-beating paging Joker. Joker, you have a brutal ass-beating on line one"

That one made me laugh so hard I thought milk was going to come out of my nose.

g_tonttu Jul 24th, 2008 08:31 AM

Brilliant Proto...makes me remiss over my wilful youth spent at Jokers Clown College.

Laughed ... hard.

BakaGaijin Jul 24th, 2008 10:01 AM

Robin's a tool. Boy, I hope Chris Nolan is smart enough to stay the fuck away from adding him to the next Batman movie.

I loved the use of "Suddenly Susan!". I bet half the readers here didn't catch the subtle sitcom reference.

Doctor_Who Jul 24th, 2008 10:09 PM

I just want to know what the original comic was like! I know the Silver Age was pretty fucked up at times, But I can't possibly imagine what the hell this story is actually about.

saturnknight Jul 24th, 2008 10:27 PM

i'm watching Dark knight on the internet, and i'm actually planning on buying it when it's on DVD, i like it so far, there should be more on Twoface if you ask me, i mean, he could have his own movie if you think about it, with him as the main villan

executioneer Jul 25th, 2008 05:58 PM

what the hell does that have to do with this

i mean yeah they're both batman related, but go post it in the review of the dark knight not here ye dingus

Kirbykid Jul 26th, 2008 03:28 AM

Great! Loved it!

copacetic Jul 26th, 2008 06:19 AM

"I've killed you a thousand times in my mind already".

hilarious

Nick Jul 26th, 2008 07:33 AM

It's shit like this that made the Joker start killing people.

PolarisSLBM Jul 26th, 2008 11:16 AM

I don't know what's funnier, the new dialogue, or the fact that the new dialogue actually fits with what's being shown in the panels.
