Campbell's Soup at Hand New England Clam Chowder.

It is not possible to cook this so that it is the correct temperature. It's either way too cold or it explodes all over your microwave. And even if it does that it's still probably not warm enough.

JediScum Oct 17th, 2007 04:13 PM

You gotta get old school on that chowder and use a damn stove. On low heat, stirring not constantly but more than occasionally or you'll scorch the shit out of it. Nobody remembers how to do things analog anymore.

Guitar Woman Oct 17th, 2007 06:42 PM

There's no stove at my school, and there's no point in cooking these things in a pot because they are tiny.

Guitar Woman Oct 17th, 2007 06:43 PM

that's about the size of a real one!

JediScum Oct 17th, 2007 07:26 PM

Ach! I had no idea. Even though I still use them reluctantly, I don't care for microwaves. Working in restaurants as a kitchen bitch has shown me they're not really needed at all.
Food also seems to retain its heat longer when cooked on stove/in oven, not to mention the things I read about years ago about how microwaving certain plastics can create carcinogens that drip into yer food via condensing steam.
Of course, working on my 2nd pot of coffee and smoking my 34th cigarette for today, like I care about carcinogens. That and when I posted previously, I was eating a microwave turkey dinner. Oops! But I did stalk, kill, clean and gut the frozen beast myself.
