The most amazing earwax removal videos, ever

This looks like a piece of golden foil inside the ear:

This one is like a loose plug:

They must've felt so much better when they were removed.

Tadao Jul 15th, 2008 11:45 PM

IS that a normal amount of wax?

Esuohlim Jul 15th, 2008 11:59 PM

Ew

jeanette you nassty, girl

Youtube is blocked here at work, so I can't comment on the videos, but I know firsthand what it's like to have a "plug" come out. It is extremely relieving, and you're almost hypersensitive to sound for a while.

No, thats an awful lot.

Actually, the kind of earwax you see there is dry rather than wet, and dry, yellow earwax is usually found only in Asians and American Indians, whereas the wet, dark earwax type is typically found in people of Caucasian and African descent. They've studied earwax types in people to determine migration patterns, as the dry type is genetically recessive.

(The more you know!)

I'm half white/asian I wonder if I have the perfect ear wax to make figurines with.

I used to love getting my ears cleaned while passing through the orient. It's really relaxing and I miss having perfectly clean ears. Ear cleaning is traditionally a pretty major mother/child bonding experience in Korea and China as well.

Jeanette is right on about the ear wax types, in fact I would get turned down by ear cleaners once in awhile .

You would have wet earwax. Dry wax is recessive so you would have to inherit the trait from both parents. As one of your parents is white, that would be very unlikely. Wet's good for making little balls for flicking...

Mines dry and flakey. Like fish food.

Your white parent must've carried the reccessive gene then. Otherwise, your earwax would be luscious and juicy, like this:

Look at this Tadao! It was in someone's ear since the Carter Administration! 2.5 centimenters long, all in one crunchy piece! I wish I had a bowl of them to eat! :love

Tadao Jul 16th, 2008 08:54 PM

It isn't unknown in whites, just unusual.

pac-man Jul 17th, 2008 08:16 AM

Gnarly videos. Like a colonic for the ears.

McClain Jul 17th, 2008 09:54 AM

My stomach is turning and I'm terribly confused. You mean to tell me there's a good chance I have a wax collection of that magnitude in my ear? Out of my own reach?

Dimnos Jul 17th, 2008 11:08 AM

Jeanette you are one sick girl :) good vids

I doubt it, unless you have a full feeling in your ear or your hearing has diminished.

argonath Jul 17th, 2008 01:24 PM

Earwax removal kits can be a fun-at-home science experiment, but if you want to get the real deal, ask your doctor for an ear irrigation.

Tadao Jul 17th, 2008 02:11 PM

Haha an earrigation.
