For two bucks, I wouldn't be able to pass up R.O.B. either. In fact, now I'm jealous. =<
|
I see a modded star fox 2 in the snes mini.
Looks like an awesome time was had by all! |
Egads, that cake needs to be submitted to cake wrecks!
Looks like a blast, I wish theh had stuff like this in my area! |
I'd love to have a NES and Jackal, Mega Man 3, Ninja Gaiden and Super C... I really miss all those games I used to own eons ago...
|
DarkfireTaimatsu - Yeah, I couldn't leave R.O.B. behind. I'm sure he's just going to be used as a decoration, but every robotic operating buddy needs a loving home.
stevetothepast - There were mods galore there. I was playing a game of Ms. Pac-Man arcade cabinet and instead of a cherry coming up on the screen, a coca-cola can appeared instead. goblyn - It was a good one for sure, but I don't think they'll ever top the shocking "Custard's Revenge" game screen cake from years ago. Julio - Just go to a flea market or eBay... you can get an NES system with all those games and more for a fairly low price these days. |
Battle chess!!!!! What a cracking game!
|
Man I wish we had that stuff here. I still love the TMNT 2 game but the arcade X-Men game with multi monitors for players was pretty cool too
|
Aw, man. SC3 is awesome.
|
Just another reason to relocate to SC.
I didn't know there was an arcade version of Warlords. That game, a 2600, and 3 friends is a party waiting to happen, or a domestic violence/disturbing the peace conviction. |
Fucking Robotron. Every time I see a cabinet I have the uncontrollable urge to play it. Then 5 minutes later I get enraged and realise why I hate it so damn much.
|
WOW! Simply, WOW! Can't get over how beautiful all the cabinet art and marquees. You can tell those games are lovingly cared for and /or restored. <3 Crystal Castles was especially lovely looking. :o But then again that has always been a very nice and unique cabinet art!
But.... but.... no X-men '92?! :'( Still looked like a fun time, but really... no X-Men '92?? :o It's one of the greatest 6 player games ever! <3 |
Pinball is for the hepcats.

RoG, I have a question.
Was there a game there called "Crazy Climber"? I used to play that way back when. It was a guy climbing a building using windowsills and people threw potted plants on him and open windows could be slammed shut on him and if he fell he would bellow O-OH NOOOOOOO! Good times |
@SaturnKnight & JustAmi - I know! That was my favorite multiplayer game EVER in the arcade. The one in our mall (that no longer exists *weeps*) used to put the games up for sale every Christmas and I used to badger my parents to buy it for me *laughs* Never did...
I wish that version would have gotten converted over instead of some of the goofy X-men stuff they released for the consoles. |
Wow! Some great finds! I discovered a Ms. Pac-Man game at the Mt. Airy Flea Market, but I didn't buy it. Now I'm kind of regretting it.
|
I'd LOVE it if there was such an event on the east coast too.
And I was tickled to see a Cliff Hanger cabinet. As we all know, they used a little anime for this laserdisc game. You may have heard of it too...Lupin III :-) |
I have a bad feeling that's the sort of event I'd leave without any remaining disposable income.
|
Astrosmash is the best Intellivision game made.
|
@ JMFabianoRPL:
Amen, buddy; I would at least be content for there to be a retro game event in Texas, where I reside. And Lupin III rocks! |
Good stuff, Nice cabs, they were a little bit too retro for my taste but fun nonetheless. Good article!
|
I was going to say, that Cliff Hangar cabinet has a familiar character on it...
|
@Pentegarn, yes Crazy Climber was a fun game. However, one CAN go wrong with Space Ace Rog. I HATE those Quick time event games.
