Yorkshire is not designed for snow.

We had an insanely warm day yesterday, which melted the snow somewhat, then a very cold night.

It was frozen so hard this morning that I (I admit I am no feather) couldn't even break through it. I just walked on top of the crust.

I walked home from a friends this morning, and so many people in cars are REALLY STUPID in snow. This is yorkshire. Lots of hills, lots of thin roads. Not much gritting. Why are you going down that REALLY BIG HILL when you could go down a flat road which takes 5 mins longer?

I wonder why outside the US people would give a shit about American anything.
