I'm in the local paper today...
Serious about Transformers
Recently some friends and I were interviewed and photographed for a piece in my local paper for Transformers. Kinda neat. |
:lol that's awesome
|
Oddly enough, at the photo shoot they took pictures for two hours straight and only used one.
|
i can't see the picture for some reason but congrats i just remeberd i don't have any transformer toys
|
Yeah its having problems loading the picture. 2 hours spent only to be thwarted by the interwebs.

Here's the pic... not sure if it'll show up for you guys:
Very cool and a fine collection (despite the absence of Soundwave) |
Yeah. Still cant see it. Must be lame IE here at work. :\
WTF! NO SOUNDWAVE! BLASPHEEMER! |
Here, I put it in photobucket.
|
Yeah thats me to the left with the shaved head. Also in the pic, find the toy we hid in the picture (hint, not a Transformer) for our own amusement.
Don't worry about Soundwave, there were about 4 of him brought to the shoot that were in the MILLIONS of pics not used. So, I didn't ignore him, the paper did ;) If you want some Soundwave love, for those of you going to Comic Con, Hasbro will be selling a re issue of his original toy with several cassette bots at their booth. |
lol soundwave kinda sucked in the movie though
|
Yeah they really screwed him over in the movie, especially after Soundwave and the Destructicons somehow lost the leadership crown to Starscream. They didn't show it in the movie, but I'd love to know how the hell that battle worked out with Starscream ending up victorious...
|
OMG SPOILER MB?
:p |

Oh and Rog, the best way to describe how Starscream beat Soundwave and the Constructicons is that he kicked them in the nutts. Either that or it's in the same logic that he declared himself the new leader of the Decepticons after Megatron fell down. Hence his line "Megatron has fallen, I am now leader." Of course according to comics and prose fiction he's like super duper strong... but no, I think he kicked them in the nutts. Now the real question in that scene lies in the actual logic of Astrotrain asking the Decepticons to lighten the load... while traveling in outer space... which has no gravity. Maybe Astrotrain was just being a dick that day. |
Nice collection. I have a few, my favorite being the Starscream one they released a few years back in the classic line or whatever it was called.
|
I think I remember from the old cartoons that Soundwave was one of the strongest transformers around and that most of the decepticons didnt even want confront the guy.
|
Nah, they just didn't talk to him much.

I think around $40, maybe more.
|
Damn. Who is going to comic con and wants to buy me one? I will pay you.
|
Ditto. I looooooove Starscream :love
Edit: The local paper here did something similar with my friends and I (as well as a bunch of other nerds) for the line-up at Star Wars Episode III. I've got the pic around somewhere. Like right here: My god, I really was chubby in high school :(. I did the kneeling thing to OUTNERD everyone else, and I think it worked really well. |
Starscream?! WTF
