Yes, Konami should be fucked.

I just read a review of the new TMNT game for GameCube. Yeah, it turns out it sucks. Hard. The gameplay mechanics seem to be true to the games of yesteryear, but considering how the stages are now 3D and such, all this amounts to is lots of turtle soup, and by that, I mean blood. Which isn't in the game, either. Then there's the stages themselves... You walk around, kill some Foot, walk around, kill some Foot. It looks as if someone has put the Turtles into some giant mouse-maze littered with enemies... And the all-powerful jump kick? Gone. Well, at least until Splinter teaches you it...

God damn, you, Konami, for ruining it for the rest of us. Fuck you.

There is no emoticon to express the sadness I feel. Seriously.

Oh, and the damned thing doesn't even have 2P Cooperative. Instead, it has some crappy one-on-one mode.

Yay for 100th post.

I never even played the game, I just saw a preview for it. That's all I heard through the whole video. I hate Konami. >:

I should bite my tounge for them ruining a great series of games. >:

you should bite your tongue regardless so that people offline aren't subjected to the type of shit you spout online. regardless.

And what the fuck have they done to Contra?

Anyway, they should just go back to TMNT 4 for the SNES and do things right this time. And bring back all the weird ass villains, TMNT's rogues gallery is quite extensive and nothing to scoff at.

I liked Shattered Soldier. Though I suppose you're referring to the PS1 game. That stank. And the GBA one wasn't anything to be excited about, either.

Let's hope Konami doesn't fuck up Snake Eater.

Anonymous Oct 23rd, 2003 02:48 AM

I think that by naming it "Snake Eater," they've pretty much doomed themselves.

Ninjavenom Oct 23rd, 2003 02:40 PM

I've heard nothing but great reviews of the new CV, so until i play it, Konami are still tops in my book.

Shoeless joe Oct 23rd, 2003 02:48 PM

I can't diss Konami (love MG series and the new COntra) but they've gone too far with the TMNT game! Hell, between that and the lame Vice City references in the Snake Eater Demo (that is so fuckin' Big Boss you play as!), i feel that they deserve a swift kick to the pants, not a 2x4 to the head. Hell, the greats all have screwed up (Square-FF8, Sierra -King's Quest 8 for example) at some point, so jsut cut 'em some slack. Now, if they screw up the new Castlevania, then they've gone too far...
