The Death Of Cartoon Network

Juuuuuust when I thought they weren't going to go through with that whole "live-action" bullshit, take a look at this steaming pile of idiocy. The majority of their new shows are live-action, which should horrify anyone who grew up with the network as a part of their childhood like me.

The sound you just heard was me horking up my own bile. If you're just as angry as I am at this, you can send a letter to Cartoon Network at 1050 Techwood Drive NW, Atlanta GA 30318. That's 1050 Techwood Drive NW, Atlanta GA 30318. You can contact them online, but they'll probably only listne to you if you send it by snail mail. Tell everyone you know, and spread the word to kill the live action movement on CN. It's Cartoon Network not Cartoonickelodeon!

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 08:07 PM

You could always start your own cable network and try to pay your bills. I'm sure it is the easiest thing to do.

Esuohlim Mar 29th, 2009 09:28 PM

I grew up with Cartoon Network too but I don't watch it anymore so I don't care! Hope this helps

The Leader Mar 29th, 2009 09:30 PM

Or, you know, you could go outside...

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 09:41 PM

Juuuuuust when I thought they weren't going to go through with that whole "be nice to newb" bullshit, take a look at this steaming pile of idiocy. The majority of their new articles are newb-friendly, which should horrify anyone who grew up with the I-Mockery as a part of their lesson building years like me.

The sound you just heard was me horking up my own bile. If you're just as angry as I am at this, you can send a letter to webmaster@i-mockery.com. You can contact them online, but they'll probably only listne to you if you complain in a thread. Tell everyone you know, and spread the word to kill the newb gayness on I-M. It's I-Mockery not 90's Child's blog!

You could always start your own mockery website and try to pay your bills. I'm sure it is the easiest thing to do. :rolleyes

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 09:44 PM

That is the sound of pownage ;_;

OK but it's CARTOON Network. Live-Action is like the definition of NOT a Cartoon. That would be like Comedy Central playing Sleepless in Seattle, or the SciFi network showing porn. Your analogy is therefore defunct.

Sam Mar 29th, 2009 09:55 PM

SciFi network shows wrestling which isn't sci-fi, and Comedy Central showed Sports Night which isn't comedy. :rolleyes

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 09:58 PM

Fox Network doesn't even show foxes anymore!

The Leader Mar 29th, 2009 10:00 PM

Remember when MTV played music videos?

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 10:02 PM

I need to write a letter to MTV. I'm outraged and sure I know what is best for them.

The Leader Mar 29th, 2009 10:03 PM

Ya see 90'sChild, why can't you be a real patriot like Tadao?

VaporTrailx1 Mar 29th, 2009 10:16 PM

You know that in Britain, if your station even strolls remotely out of genre it's a violation of law. lol

Tadao Mar 29th, 2009 10:21 PM

God bless America.

Angryhydralisk Mar 29th, 2009 10:46 PM

And thank you very much. Good night.

Yeah, and that was my point. There is one live-action show that looks good, that one pilot scripted by Paul Dini, but it could have been aniamted, why go through all that bullshit?! Or at least put it on a channel that SHOULD have it, like Nickelodeon.

And I do admit I was... overly bombastic and whiny in that first post. But that still doesn't make their decision any less bullshit. I'll still watch that Genndy Tarakofski series and Adventure Time though.

Esuohlim Mar 29th, 2009 11:12 PM

Dude who cares. Try watching some X-Files or something, now there's a good show

executioneer Mar 30th, 2009 02:01 AM

cartoon network's been dead since they stopped making new space ghosts

Krythor Mar 30th, 2009 07:46 PM

I hear David Simon is pitching an animated version of THE WIRE to them next season. He said it'll be in the vein of Johnny Quest.

They already have the Venture Bros. The one and only good thing they have left.

VaporTrailx1 Mar 31st, 2009 01:40 PM

Aqua Teen! I dunno, just Rotoscope it. It'll make it better

Tadao Mar 31st, 2009 01:44 PM

There's all kinds of good cartoons still on, but Venture Bros. sucked ass this last season.

Yea the last season was a bit weak. :\

Tadao Mar 31st, 2009 02:03 PM

And there really are no good cartoons on anymore :( I was unimpressed with the newest Aqua Teens. It was good, but I think by now they could do the strangest thing ever and I wouldn't be impressed.
