Yah, I read the gamespot article on this game and they said "It's the best X-box game yet." And its a first person shooter so its gotta be better than the first Halo. I'll rent this game and see how it is.

my roomate has the demo. it's halo with punching and fucked up view modes. the keys for cycling the view mode are the same to make him walk so I had to constantly adjust the damn thing. when you climb up boxes you see riddick. there is no crouch button so you have to jump through small holes. which works once out of 25 times. I don't get why people are calling it great. best guess is they're paid to.

EH, its more like playing as Right Said Fred then playing as Vin Disel.

But that's a plus.

I don't have an X-Box, so I'll comment on the movie instead: it might be pretty good. :)

What the hell is with the mini cut scene crap everytime you climb a box or press a switch. It makes the game look like a complete halo rip with it getting slowed by weird cut scene type thingd everytime you do somethign like climb a box or crap like that...

so I rented it tonight and have come to the conclusion that 8ullfrog is a moron beyond redemption.

I just beat it. About on par with Halo, and damn pretty. Its supposed to be a prequal to "pitch black" but the way it ends, doesn't make sense with where pitch black begins. Oh well, i give it a 8.5 out of 10

and the stick didn't make him crouch, it turned his vision blue. which predictibly enough made it impossible to do anything. the other stick was the walk/zoom stick that always went into zoom when I wanted to walk and into walk when I meant to zoom.
Gamespot is about as reputable as a fat rich kid with shit for brains.

Does Chronicles of riddick (movie) happen before or after Pitch Black? escape from butcher bay happens before (I think)

Holy shit, this game is good.

I'm playing it as we speak and I'm at the point where I just injured Abbott really badly, but didn't kill him yet.

This game is awesome. You CAN crouch, but when you do it turns you into sneak mode--which turns your vision blue if you're in a good hiding spot, like Manhunt, I think.

I was actually scared when I was in The Pit. I'm playing with an audio setup through my computer and every time I would hear a cry I'd shudder. It reminds me of The Flood in Halo...they die in one shot and don't do much damage, but they scare the crap out of you so you can't help but just run away from them. It's in a dark area too and your flashlight has six minutes before it runs out.

I'm about halfway through, I think. Not sure though...great, GREAT game so far.

the Dwellers are a fucking awesome enemy, they never stop coming at you.

just wait until you fight your first Heavy Guard Armor.

Is that the big robot thing? Yeah, I didn't fight him, I ran away.

Right now I'm running around the prison and talking to tons of people and I have like 40 missions to do now :(

your definition of big and mine are much different.

the dudes in the mechs are just riot guards, the guy I'm thinking of is really the only "boss" in the game.

I'm fighting all these people in the Courtyard now. I'm fucking good at hand-to-hand combat, I just wait for an opening and just left-right-left-right and they never get a chance to come out of it.

It's cheap, though :(

hand to hand is pretty easy, it's when you get a gun that combat is actually challenging.

or when you don't have a weapon because of the DNA encryption and you're surrounded by robots and shit.

but then you get a minigun and everything is good again! :D
