Bad Religion - "The Empire Strikes First"
Get out there and buy it right now. The instrumental "Overture" track which is a segway into "Sinister Rouge" is one of the best things I've ever heard them do. The vocal choruses sound crazy on this one too, perhaps they added another backup vocalist? Maybe it's just the production quality? Whatever it is, it sounds fucking great.

|
Does downloading it count as "getting it"?
|
Sure it does, in the same way that downloading some porn = "having a girlfriend" >:
|

I've "had" this cd for a while but I didn't want to sound like a filthy pirate so I kept my mouth shut. It is a quality cd and I like it a good bit.

Picked up the album on Tuesday - I paid an extra pound and got a shitty 20 minute DVD which I'll probably never watch. Also got the new Pennywise album.
It really goes to show the benefits of good production - early works from both bands seem to feature tinny drumkits and very underpowered riffs which just don't do it justice - especially one you see them live. Their latest offerings are just awesome - kickin' drums and riffs that rumble like thunder. Go Graffin go! |
MUST GO MUST BUY!

I liked "Process of Belief" better. "Empire..." is a great album, but some songs (like..."The quickening") are pretty boring. "Process..." didn't have any songs like that.
Best tracks = "Social suicide", "Live again". |
