I was never a big fan of the rap music. I always hear them bitching about the same things. I am more of a Red Hot Chili Peppers guy.

I like rap when rap meant something, groups like Grandmaster Flash, Tribe Called Quest...we still have good rap groups around today but most of its just garbage, the same "pimps n' hos" "drugs n' guns" attitude that sells records. Unfortunatly today artists of any genre are afraid to express themselves because it would cost them record sales. And for that...I love the Beastie Boys, I mean c'mon...they stayed old school all this time! I just can't get into today's rap "music", with the exception of Outkast of course ;)

I try to lend people my Beastie Boys albums like there is no tomorow, and I befriend anyone who knows their hip hop. But when I find someone who sucks who happens to like what I like, then I want to rip the music from their brains.
