stupid comics in the newspaper

i hate ziggy. an dlike get fuzzy. but everyone else likes them. and marmaduke. i can't stand that stupid dog that's always on someone's lap. and fred bassett. and shoe. does anyone else hate these things or am i just a negative asshole? i think it's a waste of valuable color comic space. there is no humor in the world

Sethomas Aug 28th, 2004 12:35 AM

1) The internet exists.
2) Bill Waterson has published all his comics into anthologies, and has retired from writing new ones.

With these facts combined, there's no reason why anyone should subscribe to the Sunday paper.

King Hadas Aug 28th, 2004 12:54 AM

What about Garfield?

HickMan Aug 28th, 2004 02:36 AM

It sucks

AChimp Aug 28th, 2004 11:04 AM

The Norm used to be good, until Jantze decided to fag it up by making everything have some special meaning.

Get Fuzzy is good; the papers here finally nuked Cathy and replaced it with that. That was a glorious day. :tear

The only things I read when I pick up a comics page is Bizarro and Non Sequitur. Everything else is either lame humor or something like Arlo and Janis where it used to be lame but now is just the cartoonist coming to terms with getting older and boring the shit out of everyone while doing it.

Seriously, I wanna find that guy and clock him with a baseball bat.

Sacks Aug 31st, 2004 11:04 PM

Opus, Peanuts, and Pearls Before Swine are good too.

Father §p@z Sep 1st, 2004 02:48 AM

I despise Family circus with every fiber of my being >:
And Get Fuzzy = Best comic ever >: (aside from Pickleman :picklehat)

I hate the one in Creative Loafing that Jixby does because he never calls me to say hi. :(

Captain Goodtimes Sep 12th, 2004 05:04 PM

Idiotless Sep 15th, 2004 05:00 PM

Get Fuzzy is a total rip off of Liberty Meadows.

executioneer Oct 12th, 2004 04:08 PM

Ninjavenom Oct 18th, 2004 12:24 AM

Dilbert, Get Fuzzy, Liberty Meadows, and Zits all kick ass.

DamnthatDavid Oct 18th, 2004 02:26 PM

I like Rudy Park

Emu Oct 18th, 2004 02:38 PM

Is there some underlying inside joke about Get Fuzzy that everybody knows but me? I just can't find that comic humorous in the least. :(

Luchatein Oct 18th, 2004 04:56 PM

The dog is the stupid, the cat is evil, the guy is generic.

tenno Oct 19th, 2004 08:38 PM

foxtrot. after calvin and hobbes all that was left for me was foxtrot

DeadKennedys Oct 24th, 2004 10:08 PM

Foxtrot and Zits are the only ones I spend any time reading.

True that. Foxtrot is the shiznit, which is why I bought all of the large anthologies.

Yeah, but only occasionally. Like, there was this one time when odie was playing tea party with some crazy little girl, and at the end, she's all like "AND THEN THEY GOT INVADED BY REBEL GUERILLA FORCES" or something like that.

90's Child Nov 9th, 2004 11:09 PM

I think that Family Circus sucks. I have no idea how it's lasted so long. By the way, Tenno, I adore Fox Trot too. I Also love Calvin and Hobbes. I never read it in the though. I only saw it in the collections. I was introduced to them at the horrible daycare near my mothers house. I think the place was called Kindercare.

PS. HI! I'm new. Please dont do this: :newbie to me.

Emu Nov 10th, 2004 01:00 PM

you're a character, right
