So whats the deal with that SIMS 2?
Has anyone tried it yet? It propably sucks, but I have read some good reviews of it at gamespy.com. I hope its not as boring as the first one.
|
i bet virtualy every feature is reserved for expansion packs
*get pet* "coming soon, the sims 2: pet paridise" *kill character out of boredom* "coming soon, the sims 2: hilarious homicides" *turn on kettle* "coming soon, the sims 2: makin' the tea!" i wouldnt mind playing it, i wont buy it tho. |
i don't even care about sims 2 because i played about 50 sim days in sims 1 so if it's still even the same general idea why buy ANOTHER sims game

i don't care much for the first one, but this one sounds a lot more interesting... much more "gamelike" at least. i'll definitely give it a try. |

|
no I went to bed at4:30 the day before and my teachers wouldn't let me sleep in class so I got home tryed to do my work then passed out from exaustion
|
re
woah, i likes it.
it's a nice break from all of the doom 3 i've been playing (and all of the mortal kombat: deception i'll be playing soon!). i like the noodlesoother. |
Played it today. It was OK i guess. The best thing about this game is the character creation thingy.
|
This game rocks, as long as you turn off aging. Sims stay in adult mode for only 25 days. That means you have 25 days to get a nice job, make an average 7 friends (for promotions) and hope to God you can find a way to pass on your seed to the next generation.
Like I said, it's good, but maybe the Sims lifes could have been lengthened. |
I thought Sims two was okay, but the only real reason to buy it, is if you never played the frst, otherwise its just moe of the same shite
|
I will agree with you on that. For some reason though my computer likes to crash when I'm playing it. I have gotten to the head of the Criminal job on one of my sims and on the other I got a wife and two kids.
Awesome. |
It's the closest I'll ever get to getting laid. :lol
Am I right, guys? :lol |
probably :/

MysteryAIM (2:56:38 PM): Well for the past week I've been playing the sims 2
YouWantToBeAdam (2:58:25 PM): Oooh. Addictive YouWantToBeAdam (2:59:06 PM): The premace for that game has always confused me: why would I want to play a simulation game about life? YouWantToBeAdam (2:59:45 PM): Usually I play games to do outrageously impossible things, that simulate superheros and nuclear bombs MysteryAIM (3:01:34 PM): Games that simulate a life are fun, because you get a chance to live a life (realistic or unrealistic as it is) that is different from your own. MysteryAIM (3:01:40 PM): Thats why I like them MysteryAIM (3:02:18 PM): Its like living through the game, which I think is cool YouWantToBeAdam (3:04:58 PM): Thats cool when you are playing as a flaming orc motorcycle with laser eyes, but even then, taking out the trash and repairing the house would still be kind of dull. MysteryAIM (3:24:42 PM): It does get like that after a while MysteryAIM (3:24:54 PM): its a short lived kind of fun game YouWantToBeAdam (3:27:04 PM): If someone loved to do house chores so much they need to fill in the gap between house-improvement projects with a videogame of the same nature, they should better use their time and start a show about lawncare on public television. MysteryAIM (3:28:13 PM): Well maybe I should get an agent |
Don't play this game if you have a tendency to get emotionally attached to things. I played with a guy named William Shakespeare who had a daughter called Scarlet (as proof of how emotionally attached I was to them - I'm giving you guys their names here. As if it matters). They were really poor buy went by, until one fateful day. William had gotten a job so he could pay for food, and he'd hired a nanny. She came, but at the end of the day when he couldn't pay her, she took his stereo. When he came home that night, he had enough money to pay for her the next day, so that was okay. Only, she had been somehow cancelled, and the next day there was nobody there. The social worker came to take the little daughter away, and she was out of the game for good. I felt really down and actually deleted that neighbourhood from my hard disk after that fiasco. True story. It's a horrible game for people with empathy.

Does anyone else think it weird that there are now games that require you to put your real life on hold while you play out your virtual life on a computer? And that Virtual life is almost no different from real life, and that has to suck when your sims character is a complete looser ...failed at both real and fake lives..

:lol

Been playing this for quite some time now. I like the random things that happen from time to time. For example: My sim was alone at home, enjoying a nice quiet evening, when all of a sudden something strange happened. Some old guy, that my sim had never met before, stormed in to my sims house, punched my sim in the face and ran out. If someone could explain what the hell happened, please tell me. Seriously.
|
That happened to me once, but instead of punching me in the face he sat down and fell asleep in the chair beside my bed.
|
re:
that probably means you've been looking through your telescope during the day, which basically means you were caught spying on the sim who punched you and it pissed him off!
my g/f plays this game a lot. so much that i don't really care much for it anymore, except to create bizarre familes and put them in bizarre situations and see what happens. |
