I've been in ALterac Valley for a about 3 days now. I've won two matches and lost one. I actually took command of the entire raid and led us to victory, with the help of Gimmpy. He was my second in command. We won in one hour and ten minutes. I'm already honered, I'm all decked out in Frostwolf gear. I kick ass.

for some reason, i pictured having to travel through a lot of mountains and caves for the quest, but it turns out that it only took like 5 fucking minutes.

i was glad to get it done, but right after i put the meat on the fire i ask "where is he" to find achimp (nimon) and someone else (korax) hitting frostmaw maybe twice, and ask soon as i get a glimpse at him he's collapsing. lame, but cool.

Well, Medivh finished the War Effort collection and the Scarab Wall has been opened. I read that alot of lower levels tagged along to see the event unfold, but all players under level 30 were told that they were crowding the place and would be ported "somewhere safe" for the duration of the event. Also, characted creation on Medivh and Mannorath (who's in 2nd place) has been frozen till the thing's over.

I think it's kinda shitty that Blizzard continuously gives the shaft to low level players who want to participate in some new content, whether it's this event or dungeons that only the most hopelessly hardcore losers can participate in (like BWL); many of which may have helped out with the collection effort.

Actually, those low level characters had no business being there and many were characters that people from other servers created just to a) slow down the server to delay the opening and b) see the event for themselves because their server is a few weeks behind.

For the record, anyone who uses the term "twink" instead of "tweak" is a total faggot. Mostly because it's a stupid word, but also, i would not like to think of gay sex when i think of Warcraft, if possible.

Blizzard only cares if someone reports your name. There was a guy in DA named Porass that got reported by some asshole (Porass refused to sell him a bunch of mats for really cheap, so the guy reported him). We just attempted Razorgore tonight. A few hours of constant wiping sucks. We didn't even get to phase 2 because the hunters in our guild fucking suck. Bunch of PvP fags. >:

I would play Makatiel more often if people in Testament would help some of those who don't have all the keys to get all the keys.

I can name a couple :( but the Raids are always full, so it seems like they never need to bother to get others the required items.

We killed Razorgore our fourth attempt on our first night and several times since. Attempts on him are either disastrous or pristine. I can generally tell pretty quickly what it's going to be. During Razorgore, paladins heal exclusively. I can tell we'll wipe if I have dragonkin crawling up my ass not being put to sleep by druids. When I have to switch from healing those in my charge to healing myself exclusively just to stay alive, I know somebody fucked up in their kiting.

Our best attempt was 12 eggs remaining. :(

Blood Elves are horde because they allied with the naga and illidan and are no longer trusted by the alliance because of their dangerous lust for magic.

This is not the expansion and costed nothing extra.

ok, so i had to read up to figure out what this recent patch biz was all about. did the queue changes fix everything i hated about the BGs, or are there still shitty 1 hour or longer waits to get into team-based pvp?

The long queues were only because people on both sides weren't signing up. They've lowered the starting number threshold, though, so games will start much quicker. Also, it definitely helps to be Horde on most servers if you want to play BGs.

Arathi Basin are the fastest and always seems to have lots of people playing in them. Once you're level 60, that is. Lowbie PvP blows. :(

I haven't waited longer than 5 minutes for an AB match. Usually it tells me I can enter in about 10 seconds.

see, I played Frozen Throne and all, but I still don't see how the Blood Elves are Horde. being not Alliance doesn't make one the Horde.

The Horde is an alliance of convenience for all but the orcs, tauren, and trolls who are in truth allies. The Undead and Blood Elves hope to get mutual benifit from their alliance with the Horde but have no true allegiance to their allies.

Its not that hard to understand and fits fine with WC3 Lore. Factions and races re-alligned all the time in the game and alliances were formed for what people saw as their joint interests, so why would it not happen now?

Pretty much every dungeon with humanoids is a good example of Not Alliance but also Not Horde.

What side are omni-tek and the clans on, though?

The Blood Elves and The Forsaken also have a big thing in common, hatred for the scourge.

where is any of that in the story? where I left off, Arthas had merged with Ner'zhul and became the new Lich King, leaving him in effective control of Lordaeron, Azeroth, and the like. now, why would he ally himself with the Horde in far off Kalimdor? and the Blood Elves I might understand, since Illidan lost to Arthas, but why the Horde? why not return to the Alliance. Blizzard has just become lazy.

Arthas is most certainly not allied with the Horde. The blood elves hate the Alliance now for not putting enough effort into defending Quel'Thalas.

You're forgetting that WoW takes place like 5 years after Frozen Throne, so lots of shit happens in between. Plus, it's Blizzard's game and they can do what they want. If you're going to get all fired up about blood elves being part of the Horde, then there's a million smaller things about the game that will also piss you off.

Arthas is not allied with the Horde. Sylvanas and The Forsaken are. Remember they regain their free will and rebel before Arthas reaches The Frozen Throne. It's a flimsy affiliation, just like the Blood Elves' affiliation with the Horde will be.
