So chimp, is everyone still on Laughing Skull? If so, I wouldn't mind joining the guild again! I'm a 23 Tauren warrior named Walkertexas.

DamnthatDavid Jul 12th, 2006 12:49 AM

The Mockery Guild is dead.

Chimp is part of Testament. A one time (perhaps no longer) anal guild full of assholes. But I guess they left.

Carnivore Jul 12th, 2006 08:56 AM

I want to make Chimp feel badly, so I'll give an account of my WoW happenings :gigh

My guild is large enough to run guild-only 20-man raids and our raid alliance has been rejecting new applicants in droves because we just don't have room.

We've had BWL on farm for coming up on two months now. I've been sitting at 7/8 Judgement and just waiting for a belt that is seemingly never going to drop :/

We're four bosses deep in AQ. Although I'd rather skip it and go to Naxx, I'm outvoted among the raid leadership.

Perhaps I'll toss some screens up later.

AChimp Jul 12th, 2006 10:42 AM

I can toss you an invite to Mockery, Hickman, but if you want to be in a guild that actually does stuff, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. There's a lot of good lowbie guilds.

We're still anal in Testament, but only because we want to get shit done so that we can go do the other fun things. The new leadership is much nicer about it, although we did gkick a guy last night for constantly spamming guild chat. Then a couple of his friends left, but I had never heard of them anyways.

Congratulations on the AQ40 progress, Carni! We should be starting in there some time this week. Skeram should be dead easy... with the old guild structure full of assholes, we had him down to 25% with only 31 people in the raid. Now we have over 200 people in the guild and 20-man waitlists to get into MC/BWL, so we can afford to be picky with who we invite and stack the raid for success :conspiracy

Last night we started BWL, expecting to only get up to Broodlord before calling it and going back later in the week. As it turns out, we one-shotted each boss all the way up to Chromaggus (for the first time ever) with only one wipe at the start of the suppression rooms.

Got myself one of these last night, too: http://www.thottbot.com/?i=44692 :)

From what I've read, if you guys can farm BWL, you should be able to take down the first handful of bosses in Naxx. I don't think AQ is worth skipping, though. I want to farm some rep in there so I can get the epic cooking recipe!

Carnivore Jul 21st, 2006 09:07 AM

I happened upon this old screen from last September. Anyone who has been to Maraudon will recognize it.

For long have the centaur denizens of Kalimdor worshipped the cock!

And one I took while bored the other day.

I finally lit a fart! AMAZING!

EisigerBiskuit Jul 21st, 2006 09:29 AM

Even in death you cannot escape the wrath of cock

Carnivore Jul 21st, 2006 10:59 PM

Blood Elf paladins and Draenei shamans... FUCKING LAME!

That is all.

EisigerBiskuit Jul 21st, 2006 11:12 PM

Mounting on water. Good enough for me.

Immortal Goat Jul 21st, 2006 11:53 PM

Oh for Christ's sake, don't tell me we're going to have to put up with a bunch of pussy whiny babies here, too, over the Blood Elf Paladins and the Draenei Shamans. Here's a clue for you: It MAKES SENSE!

The Draenei were friendly with the Orcs before they went crazy, and the Orcs were predominantly Shamanistic. There we go.

As for the Blood Elf paladins, think of this: Being a paladin is a source of magic. Blood Elves are ADDICTED to magic. Blood Elves were ALSO once members of the Alliance. Would a race that is totally addicted to magic suddenly abandon one of their sources of the stuff just because they switched sides? No, they wouldn't.

Stop whining.

EisigerBiskuit Jul 22nd, 2006 12:21 AM

Now the game is like Red Team vs Blue Team, instead of Red Team vs Pink Team. Hopefully people will still get over racial abilities.

AChimp Jul 22nd, 2006 03:16 AM

Now all the Horde guilds that learned to raid the hard way will start kicking major ass because we get easy mode :)

DamnthatDavid Jul 22nd, 2006 04:52 AM

OH GOD... OH GOD... I hate fighting shamans, even when I am a Shaman. :( I was working on a Alt mage yesterday, and was thinking how much it would suck going up against a Shaman. Then I sighed and thanked Ge'Odee that the alliance didn't have shamans... I JINXED IT.

im looking forward to seeing how paladins and shamans will work togather in a group, totem buffs + auras + blessings = ftw!

DeadKennedys Jul 22nd, 2006 02:14 PM

http://www.theallianceherald.co.uk/?...ssue=12&page=5

Wth?

So, if the Draenei were friends with orcs why aren't they allied with them now? Must have had an argument aboard their interstellar spaceship. Lore rofl :lol

Immortal Goat Jul 22nd, 2006 05:47 PM

The orcs turned on them when they went mad, and the demons started taking over.

Carnivore Jul 23rd, 2006 07:31 AM

Any originality each faction has will soon be gone. Working around not having that one class made raids far more interesting. If anything, they should've added a new faction-only class to each side.

Immortal Goat Jul 23rd, 2006 12:16 PM

No originality? Hell, racial abilities alone make the factions different enough make raids interesting.

Would I have liked to see 2 new classes? You bet your ass I would. Still, BC isn't going to be the only expansion they release, and I'm willing to bet that they're planning something big for the next one.

And I hope that you, Carnivore, aren't one of those Lore fags whining about how it messes with the story, because that would be sad.

EisigerBiskuit Jul 23rd, 2006 02:17 PM

What happened to fucking Bloodmages or whatever?

DamnthatDavid Jul 23rd, 2006 06:28 PM

I'm still holding my breath for Hero Classes at lvl 70.

Immortal Goat Jul 23rd, 2006 06:35 PM

Blood Knights? That's what the Blood Elf Paladins call themselves, so they aren't true Paladins, they just have all their abilities. But the lore that they put on the main site even suggests that there will be a downside to it.

Dr. V Jul 23rd, 2006 08:48 PM

I'm sorry but this is just Blizzards quick fix for the nerf shams whiners. But at least now we can piss off all the alliance by shield hearthing. See how they like it! (I am so making a pally)

Carnivore Jul 23rd, 2006 10:49 PM

That's 8/8 Judgement, bitches. Lift up my skirt and :blowme

I do enjoy WarCraft lore. There are very few things within it that I consider sacred. I do get pissed when stuff gets rewritten. For example, compare http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...hapter1.html#2 to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burni...l/draenei.html and tell me that's not inconsistent.

The backstories for the Blood Elf paladins and Draenei shamans don't fall under this category, however. They're fine.

Racial abilities provide little, if any, variety. What I'd love to see more than anything is one unique class for every race. Having all classes available to both Horde and Alliance removes any real distinction between the two sides. Now players will only need to consider esthetics when choosing between Horde or Alliance.

EisigerBiskuit Jul 23rd, 2006 10:56 PM

It was like Spelleaters or some shit, had some weird claws and blah.

Carnivore Jul 23rd, 2006 11:55 PM

Do you mean Spell Breakers?
