TRUTH... Ugh...
I am so sick and tired of the shit commercials that the Anti-Tobacco commission "TRUTH" makes every single god damned time I watch anything. I mean for crapsake, these people blame the tobacco people for killing these people. Example: (This was being said by a woman around... 30.) "The Tobacco company caused my Grandfather to die from cancer." Uh... No. Your Grandfather smoking 3 packs a day killed him. Did the Tobacco company force him to smoke? No. Don't place the blame there.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be totally a dickhead to those who had family die from smoking. I had several members die from smoking related ailments, but as my Grandfather said before he died, "The cigerette didn't kill me, me smoking them did." |
I don't really mind them all that much since I chew tobacco instead of smoking it and they never say anything about that. Still, I agree that they are fucking stupid commercials.

Tobacco companies are guilty of putting extra stimulants into their tobacco whose sole purpose it is to make people more addicted to their cigarettes. I'd put the blame for them doing this at the core of capitalism, because this is really what they're forced to do. Of course you can't sue capitalism and you can't get rid of it, so we'll just have to let it self-destruct, one cancervictim and lawsuit at a time.

extra stimulants that are delicious

If smoking didn't hurt people who don't smoke, i'd probably be all for it. Anything that kills off idiots is okay in my book, but people who don't smoke can also get lung cancer, so that kind of ruins the fun of the whole slow-scale genocide thing. :-/
|
I don't smoke and blow it into the lungs of strangers. I don't think that me enjoying a wonderful wonderful nicotene induced calmness a coulple times a day is giving anybody cancer. I mean i smoke outside and most the people i smoke around are smokers too.

You aren't the only one who took health class you know.

Yeah, I know it's bad, but no one's gonna get second hand chew spit and get cancer. Plus it doesn't fuck up my lungs. Only really dangerous thing is the gum cancer/lesions/etc thing :(

I could argue that it's not really that stupid of a decision, i mean i won't smoke for the rest of my life, but right now the benefits out weigh the risks.
|
How can losing like 8 minutes of your life for every cigarette you smoke possibly benefit you?
You're not more relaxed when you smoke. You're only relaxed when you are smoking, and you're nervous all the time between cigarettes - as opposed to all the time when you don't smoke, or you've quit (like I have). |

And i am not nervous all the time, i am a cool ass motherfucker. But smoking makes me feel good, and i have some very good friends that i would have never have met if i didn't smoke. I mean don't smoke if you don't want to but stop whining, bitchnuts. |

I thought I read somewhere it's some sort of gene or something that can determine that you could get cancer from smoking. I read it a while ago, but I doubt it to be totally true.
|
My mom died from smoking. My dad has a heart disease. I have a smoker's cough, possible emphezema, and skin cancer (although it's completely unrelated).
Still, fuck you Dustin. |
You fag.
|
We jut have to convince the clean people to stay the fuck away, as the nic heads suddenly die off. Then once their out of the society genepool, there shouldn't be a problem, until some idiot goes around and spreads it again.
|
Most people who die from ciggarette related causes die after they reach reproductive age. Also people who smoke get laid more, you can't argue with that that's science
|
Hehe. The smoking buddies are hilarious and made me laugh as a consequence.
BigMcLargeHuge: It's amazing how in all your arguments you fail to factor in that you're addicted. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that had something to do with why you smoke as well. Would you still smoke if you could stop doing it, right now, and not crave after a cigarette ever again? Honestly? |
