Ebay Madness

Okay, as I am quite sure you all know, Ebay has been home to many bizarre items being sold and even more bizarre, the amount of money people have spent on them.

This is not a bizarre item, but the money being offered for it is...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Who the fuck pays that much for a piece of card and foil? I mean sure it's one of two in existence, but it's still a fucking piece of fucking card.

I challenge anyone to find an item more bizarre than this, be it in terms of what it is or how much it is being offered for.

rockets redglare Dec 12th, 2004 11:14 PM

EisigerBiskuit Dec 12th, 2004 11:15 PM

That piece of 'card and foil' is a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, which kids use as part of a duelling game. There's also a successful cartoon series and Japanese comic!

I can't see why someone would pay a lot for a jolly card though...

Jeez, 750+ dollars for Japanese Zelda that you need to be able to speak Japanese to play and have a Famicom to play too? I'd rather spend, like, 50 dollars on the NES Zelda which is actually playable by some schmuck like me. :/

darkvare Dec 13th, 2004 08:36 PM

yea in here (Quebec) you can get it for 20 dollars with a console included

Guitar Woman Dec 13th, 2004 08:42 PM

HOLY SHIT! GOLD ZELDA FOR 5 DOLLARS!

i think its 750+ dollars because its a set of 10 and i think most people had it for the disk system before it came out on cart. so it is kinda rare...

and the adaptator to play them on US nes is bult in to the first nes carts. you just have to know that the cart you have was from the first run, or else you will crack you cart open for nothing...

This thread is stupid. I hope you all go blind.

Killy The Bid Dec 14th, 2004 05:37 AM

I still think that the Yugioh card is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen on Ebay. Not the card itself but what people are offering for it.

Obviously people who saw the picture of a DS immediately thought "A DS! I MUST BUY IT"!!! Muppets...

Maybe the grilled cheese sandwich with the Virgin Mary on it (or some religious character) or the ghost of an old man who was haunting his grandson, but they didn't go for as much.
