One time at a bar that had $7 pitchers, some guy makes a big deal of tipping the bartender by giving him a ten or something, and the bartender seemed to think that this was such a good thing that he didn't even bother to give me change for a 10 >:

Spooky Feb 16th, 2005 03:31 AM

bartenders sure are angry on the internet

Dr. V Feb 16th, 2005 03:35 AM

Here is a tip for bartenders:
anyone could do your job, so be greatful for what you get and shut the fuck up.

kellychaos Feb 16th, 2005 05:53 PM

Don't kid yourself Russo-whatever. You probably couldn't. Just judging by your above statement, I doubt that you've ever worked an honest day in your life.

And Chimp, that bartender person was only trying to pick you up over the internets by being coy. I'd expect a PM in a day or so.

Archduke Tips Feb 16th, 2005 06:08 PM

Yeah ok maybe you are right.

Im sure bartender school is really really hard and they have to spend years and work themselves ragged to get their degree.

woe to the bartenders and their difficult lives.

kellychaos Feb 16th, 2005 06:10 PM

Your life experience enthralls me and I am an apt pupil. More about.

Helm Feb 16th, 2005 06:36 PM

or even, how about

Are you another one of those fags who thinks after you graduate the world will owe you a living because you're so much smarter now that you have a degree?

Anonymous Feb 17th, 2005 02:04 PM

Yes, but then again, bartending is the easiest service profession available, fag.

ziggytrix Feb 17th, 2005 02:20 PM

That kinda depends on how much you like dealing with obnoxious drunk fuckers, and on how much your establishment let's a customer get away with before 86in em.

I'd think bartending is either the best or worst depending on the specific bar. But that's not really different than any other kind of job.

Anonymous Feb 17th, 2005 02:28 PM

Service jobs in general are stressful and irritating which is why I didn't say it was an easy job, just comparatively easy to, say, waitering, or working at a fast food franchise; You don't have to rely on anyone else to get your work done, the bulk of the difficulty is in memorization, and in some places there isn't even a paper trail.

Supafly345 Feb 17th, 2005 02:59 PM

The last time I was served by a bartender was at a milk bar, but we decided to just leave because tipping the bartender might be considered a little insensetive in those circumstances.
