And no it's not for sex. Wednesday I had to have an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. GODDAMN it hurts. The sounds that sucker made when it came out made me sick, I felt blood squirt on my tongue. When I got home I saw that it squirted on my jeans too. :( Need more pills.

They didn't gas you for that sumbitch? Glad I only had one tooth ever get pulled, and it was a small one at that.

Aww thank you. No, I didn't get the gas mask, I got local anesthetic. All the crunching and cracking made me delirious! I just made this thread to whine and so others could whine about when they got thiers done too. I go back April 6th and get the other three pulled.

Just so I know, are wisdom teeth meant to be pulled, or do they just commonly cause problems?

Mine havent given me problems. My dentist is a bit wierded out by me only having 8 molars and 5 sets of srazy sharp teeth where one pair of olars should be.

My coworkers said I smell like blood. Wisdom teeth had a purpose at one point, but as modern man we've forgotten the need for them. They now exist to cause pain for small jaws. Arrowx, please say that was a joke, you're creeping me out dude.

I had all four taken out, but by far the worst part of it was cleaning out the holes with the squirter. Let's just say it'd been a week before I first cleaned, and I'd been eating meat since day 2.

And I did learn a great term from the whole thing: Dry socket

How long before you're in the clear for that? I haven't noticed anything like that yet.

Washing out rot from the hole? About a month

Dry stocket? I got one after about a week. They put little medicated strips in the holes which were very bitter, took them out the next week. After that I never got another one. Just be very careful not to fuck with it, even if you think something's wrong, you'll just make it worse, but you should be clear after about 3-4 weeks. The only reason I got one was cause one of the places started tasting funny, so I kept fucking with it until I made the blood unclot and, well, it wasn't pretty. If you're not like me, you don't have to be worried.

Socket rot sounds sexy, my boyfriend will totally dig it. I had something stuck in the socket today, I had to push it out with my tongue, it felt gross so I didn't look at it. I won't fuck with it though, I'm scared to mess something up. I heard it tastes funny after a few days anyhow.

I had all four taken out at once. They put an IV in me and knocked me out for an hour to do it. It didn't really hurt, afterwards, though. They ended up stitching my gums with catgut to the insides of my cheeks and I couldn't open my mouth very far for a couple weeks. :(

I didn't bruise, but I ended up with a bone chip in my gum that bothered me for a long time. Then it just disappeared. :eek

Godammit that sounds so fucking painful. I still have my wisdom teeth because I'm full of brain power. Plus I have a huge mouth.
