I don't know about this.....there is NOTHING on the net about it, and if anything is even 10% true, than it pops up SOMEWHERE. And when someone even MILDLY famous dies, it is front page news everywhere....and like I said..if you google it, absolutely nothing comes up. So unless Mitch dying is a well kept government secret, than I really am putting no face on this one.

My friend called the Improv, where Mitch is supposed to be playing tonight. They have heard the rumors, but don't know the truth themselves. Official confirmation of whether tonight's show happens is supposed to be at 2:00 PM, presumably EST.

Hmmm...well, we'll see. I still think Comedy Central's love of Mitch Hedberg extends beyond "Tragically, Mitch Hedberg passed away this week. Mitch was a beloved member of the Comedy Central family, and we join fans in our sadness. He will be missed. " He was one of their big names on their tours...I doubt if this is real- we get "sorry he's dead" and that's it. I would expect a big eulogy and a huge front page news report, and not just a side story. I still think something fishy has happened here. We'll still wait and see.

In a moment of truth and sincerity, I feel I have to say this-

Mitch Hedberg was in my opinion, the best comedian ever. When he was sober enough to tell his jokes, they were far better than anything I've heard...including George Carlin-and that's saying something.

Chojin and I were out IRL and I was trying to justify with him why this could have been a joke, but despite my efforts, Chojin merely replied "Dude, get over it." Then after several phone calls, the news had been reported to me that this horrible incident was indeed....true. After telling Chojin that this was not a falsehood after all, he sat down and said "Man...that bummed me out a lot more than I thought it would. I really thought it was a joke."

After that, our hearts hung heavy in a sort of sadness that is indescribable other than saying I could feel my stomach drop. Needless to say the whole situation sucks ass crack. I mean, Mitch told jokes that even James could get....I mean....C;mon!

So basically, to sum this whole ball of wax up, I just wanna say...
