For some reason, the organic half of the alien...thing reminds me of the Mudokans (sp?) from the Oddworld series. Decent concept.

Its design was a combination of a vykker, a glukkon,(both creatures from the oddworld universe) the vogons(as described in the book series), and my friend's bulldog.
