new stuff that i like.
deerhoof - apple o' (not as good as reveille, but still great. still the only band that i could imagine being considered "twee no-wave".)
cul de sac - death of the sun (really, really pretty and textured.) locust - plague soundscapes (i've never been a huge locust fan, but this really does impress me... way more varied and interesting than any of their previous stuff.) subarachnoid space - also rising (this album is so fucking psych that i'm scared of random drug-tests at my workplace for the next few months!) |
Locust as in The Locust grind band? If not, it seems I'm gonna have to change my band's name anyway. Any chance they won't sue us if we don't, because they're jolly fellows?

re:
i don't think i've ever heard anyone describe them as grind, but i'm sure we're talking about the same band... the locust as in gsl records.
