Hey guys could I be a model??

Fuck you I might be one anyway :(

For my college's studio art classes.

If I get it I will be paid $10.73 an hour to stand in place and think about cold showers and ugly babies. :(

HickMan Nov 30th, 2005 12:05 PM

It's ok I might be one too ;(

kellychaos Nov 30th, 2005 03:35 PM

remember to bring lots of chapstick

nothing4buddha Nov 30th, 2005 08:46 PM

and be sure to wax

xbxDaniel Nov 30th, 2005 09:28 PM

I've sat down and thought about ugly babies and showers and alls I got was VD. Lucky bastard.

Emu Dec 1st, 2005 08:44 AM

You know why you get paid that much? Because standing still for that long will fucking destroy your back. >: My girlfriend is an artist and I have to pose for her all the time for free >:

I could totally be a model.

MetalMilitia Dec 1st, 2005 12:13 PM

Well you already look like a coke addict so I guess you could be a model.

ziggytrix Dec 1st, 2005 03:39 PM

I always get annoyed when people talk about models like it's the easiest job in the world. Maybe it is for the ones at the top who get paid more than the GDP of many small countries for an hour's work, but for every one of those, there are tens of thousands of models who can't make a living off it. It's not steady work like an 8-5 job, and like Emu said, it's actually quite physically stressful unless you are some sort of yogi or kungfu master.

Sorta like being "yet another actor" in LA, it's probably one of the worst jobs in its industry unless you're A-list or just doing it in your spare time for a little extra cash.

ziggytrix Dec 1st, 2005 04:08 PM

Just getting the feeling that the Ford agency might have left a certain person's 8X10 glossy in the circular file.

my god man that was actually funny! sit down and breathe deeply for a while.

retro, you look perfectly nice and all, but that photo REALLY looks like your face photoshopped quite badly on to the body of someone else, its freaky. Please tell me I am not the only one that can see this.

ziggytrix Dec 1st, 2005 11:48 PM

Um, not to get you down, but I've never been or even attempted professional or amateur modeling. So does that mean I can't have an opinion about it after working in fashion and advertising for a little over a year? :/

No need to get one's panties in a twist. That was just my attempt at a lil' mini-mock. I guess I made the mistake of thinking that your sword was more tempered than that.

Damn, I need to work on my head tilts. Can't look fake if I wanna be a model...wait...

ziggytrix Dec 2nd, 2005 05:53 PM

that and shooting down is pretty rare in fashion photography that i've seen. shooting up is much more popular. :|

The Retro Kat Dec 2nd, 2005 07:20 PM

I did it for a photo class in high school, I took it with a digital camera really quick on my lunch break a period before it was due.

Dole Dec 3rd, 2005 02:11 PM

you removed and subsequently replaced your own head during lunch? Thats impressive by anyone's standards.

The Retro Kat Dec 5th, 2005 06:57 PM

Actually, that picture is aux naturale.
